Youused to walk like this. I walk likemy toes. Okay. You have to learn to walklike this. I can step out like that.

Butif I mentionso that we can walk withinto the futurewe're not going to get hurt by what'scoming because we can see what's comingand we can be better prepared for it. Sowe'll just kind of brief introduceone of the greatest monarchs of ancienthistory and this came to Hawaii and Idid I read some books on the history ofHawaii and it's absolutely fascinatingbecause if you look through the historyof the Hawaiian people and you go allthe way backand the nations how they came to thePacific here. And where did the Pol comefrom? Trace the language, linguisticroots. It all goes back to the MiddleEast and they navigated their way usingthe stars with astronomy.

They navigatedthe way down the Arabian SeaIndia across the Indian Ocean. And thenthey came to Indonesia and theynavigated using these stars and lightsall the way across all the islands.It's an incredible story of how Hawaiicame to be in the first place. So thisguy here, you may say what this guytellastronomy comes from Babylon.They understood the movements of thestars. It was the Babylonians whocharted the 12 times of the zodiac.Babylonians gave us astronomy. They alsogave us astrology.Not only that, but Babylonianmathematics function number six.

So youmay say, wellNebuchadnezzar got me today,right?How many seconds are there to60? How many minutes are there towhyit didn't come? So on your watchon your watch that you have the measureyourgoes all the way back to NebuchadnezzarNebuchadnezzar and his kingdom whenNebuchadnezzar statue in Daniel 3 was 62highoundon your685 BC.postand then right in the top left of thevia spotat the battleof the world war in the battle of thearmies were battling the armies of Egyptdefeated once and for all the forces andbattleand the empire and the commander of theBabylonian armies was the crown prince.So having deceived the he then turnedhis allies he chased them all the wayback through the holy land to modern dayEgypt on his way south at Jerusalemwhere in 605 BCcaptives among themboysand Daniel was taken captive in the youmight say world war of the world and sothis is the Babylonian empire thatNebuchadnezzar established andNebuchadnezzar rules back 43 years thefirst 15 years of his reign he was onthe road he was conquering 15 years ofhis reign and he was on the road puttingdown rebellions in the middle of hisreign he was a builder and he built upto be one of the most incredible citiesthe ancient world there's an artistimpression there The hanging gardens ofBabylon. Remember the gardens ofBabylon? So the hanging gardens ofBabylon.

He built them becauseeverything else I northern fil.So because he had a wife who was home tothe mountains of Iranbuilt the gardens of the important fromall across the Middle East. You havepiped water going to the very top andthe blue glaze bricks in the wheel. Ifyou go to the Berlin Museum today inBerlin in Germany, they have one ofthese ceremonial gates in Babylon. Theywere actually covered with a blue glazewith golden lines on the wings. It'sincredible.

And so he built the hanginggardens of Babylon for his wife. And healso greatly expanded the city ofPanesta, Babylon itself. In the middleof the city of Babylon was the 70thtemple, the temple of Mar which is 300ft tall meters. It was huge. And on topof that, you had a temple built solidgold.

And you could see it for many,many miles around Nebuchadnezzar'stemple. So Nebuchadnezzar was one of thegreatest buildings of the ancient world.And in the 1980s and 1990s, SaddamHussein in Iraq, he modeled himself onMeza. He claimed he was like the reunitwho put his face thatum so he wanted to rebuild the city ofBabylon. But Babylon was destroyed andaccording to the Bible, Babylon wouldnever be rebuilt again. If you lookthrough history, Babylon has never beenrebuilt.It's an amazing story what happens tothe city of Babylon.

So let's come tothis dream shall weand the story we're going to pick up thestory in Daniel chapter 2 1-3. This iswhat we read. It says in the second yearof reignsdreams and his spirit was troubled andhis sleep.So the king commanded the magicians, theenchanters, the sorcerers and thecalaldans summoned the king of dreams.They came in and stood before the king.He said to them, "I have had such adream that my spirit is troubled. I havea desire to understand it." Does anybodyhere have dreams and forget what theyare?Some people keep a notepad by their bed.Yes. They write on the rings and theywake up.Some people I know actually recalcit's normally kind of nonsense.

It seemsto meif you go to the Middle East today, youwill find that people across the MiddleEast expect God speaks to them indreams. The Muslim world today is filledwith visions having dreams and visionsof Jesus Christ for them to follow him.This is a global phenomenon. I've beenin mission work much of my life and Isee this all the time. And there havebeen more Muslim conversions to Christin the last 20 years in the previous1400 years. That's because Jesus isappearing dreams and visions to Muslimsin every corner of the globe.

Invitesthem to follow him. But the king has adream and he can't understand it. So hecalls Calaldans. Now those Calaldanss,they were his um they were his fortunetellers. These guys were skilled attelling the future of the art ofdivination.

and they would drop open thegoats withthey examine the endrails. They shootsome arrows. They see where the arrowsfall. They um they claim to be able totell the future and they were heavilyimmersed in the past. And the Calaldanssthey said to the king in the text itsays there is no one on earth who canreveal what the king demands.

In fact,no king and powerful has ever asked sucha thing of any magician or enchanter orcalian. The thing that the king isasking is too difficult and no one canreveal it except the gods whose dwellingis not mortals. And so the calaldiansaid to the king, "Tell us the dream andwe'll tell you the interpretation." Andthe king said, "No, had a dream. I don'tremember it. You first tell me thedream, then you tell the interpretation.If that sounds like marriage to youanywayinterpretation said no man can do that.So the king got really angry.Nebuchadnezzar was a tyrant.

So he saidyou guys are a bunch of tricks. He saidyou you just want to lie to me anddeceive me. So he said he sent hissoldiers to execute all the wise men ofBabylon including a young Jewish boycalled Daniel and his three friendscalled Shadrach and since when theofficer came to their home and Danielsaid why have you come to execute us theofficer he told them the story of theking's dream and the interpret it Danielsays let me pray and I'll ask the God ofheaven. So the story goes in Daniel 2that Daniel prays and he asked God toreveal to him this dream that the hadreceived it. And God revealed that dreamto Daniel that night.

And the next day,Daniel goes to the king and he says,"Don't kill the wise men of captain. Ican tell you the dream that you had twonights ago." The king is amazedDaniel. And so the king said, "Goahead." So Daniel gave him the dream.And this is the dream as Danieldescribed. Says, "You were looking andthere was a large statue. statue ishuge.

It looks extraordinary. It isstanding before you and it appearancewas frightening. The head of that statuewas a fine gold chest and arms of silverand it sidesof ironand as he looked on his cut out not byhuman hands it struck the statue on itin pieces and the iron the bronze andthe gold were all broken in pieces andbecame like of the summer threshingfloors and the winds carried them awayso that a trace of them can be found butthe stone that struck the stat became agreat mountain and filled the wholeearth. So that's how Daniel describesit. There's a pictorial representationof the dream of Nebuchadnezzar.

You gotthe statue with the head of gold witharms of silver, the thighs and the loinsof brass, the legs of iron, and then thelegs and the toes mixed with iron andclay which really don't mix together.And you have this stone that is cuthands that strikes the statuetrace of that statue away. So this isthe dream that never had. Danielexplained to me this was the dream. Andactually this dream you're about to seetells us the flow of history from thetime of Nebuchadnezzar all the way downto 2026.So the question is does God know thefuture and God reveal to us what isgoing to happen?When we look at this very famous screenthe answer to that is yes. You're goingto have to say, you know, as I lay outthe evidence, you're going to have togive me your opinion on that later.

I'mjust sharing with you now this veryfamous dream that the king had recordedfor us to learn from. So what is theinterpretation of the dream? So thestory goes on. Daniel says to him inDaniel 2 37:38, he says, "You, oh king,the king of kings, to whom the God ofheaven has given the kingdom, power, themight, and the glory In his hands he hasgiven human beings wherever they live,wild animals of the field and the birdsof the air and whom he has establishedas ruler over them all. You are head ofgold.Imagine how feltand God gave him a dream of a statue.head was goldfrom Jerusalem says he tells him whatthe dream is and saidovernothing but humility yesof pride who arose in his heart in thatmoment but the statue isn't just made ofgold thereso Daniel goes on to say this after youshall arise another kingdom inferior toyours.

Again, a third kingdom of bronzewhich shall rule over the whole earth.So after Babes another kingdom and thenafter that kingdom would arise a thirdkingdom that was in Syria to the firsttwo kingdoms. And did this actuallyhappen?uh in the in April 538 BCum is alast night of the empire.You heard of the famous Cyrus the Great.Cyrus the great is one of the greatestconquers in human history. He was theleader of me empireempire.the great was teasing the city ofBabylon and the city of Babylon hadwalls down the riverand the king of Babylon was a guy calledhe was soant that Cyrus was not going toBabylon. They held a great feast and hewas drinking and he held all his noblesthere and they had their wives with themand the military officers were there.They held a great feast. They weremocking the God of heaven.

Read aboutthe story in Daniel 5. And suddenly themiddle the text says that they hand itand started writing on the walland nobody could interpret what themeaning was of writing on the wall. Andso the king of Babylon Belazza he calledfor the queen mother who wasnow dead. He says can you figure outwhat the writing on the wall means? Andshe says I don't.

She says but there's aman in this who was spirit of gods andhis Daniel as God speaks and reveals thesecret to him. Why don't you ask him andhe'll come and interpret as writing onthe wall. So Daniel came and he gave toBel short history lesson of all how Godhad worked in the life ofNebuchadnezzar. Then Daniel said this hesays and this is the writing that isinscribed the writing on the wall. Manymany tech and passing this is theinterpretation of the matter.God has numbered the days of yourkingdom and brought it to an end.You've been weighed on the scales andfound one thing and perish your kingdomis divided and given to the need and tothe Persians.And that very nightthe Persian army broke through the wallsof Babylon.They didn't conquer militarilysimply dug a trench.

They diverted thetraces around the city. So the waterunder the city walls the water leveldropped. Then the Persian army markedunder the walls of Babylon when theriver was at its lowest having divertedthe river the city that night was thatnight. So measured kingdom Babylon isreplaced byhistorically kingdoms arriveof the Greek empire Alexander the Great.You all heard of Alexander the Great.He conquered perhaps the single largestempire in human history over 2 millionsquare miles from Greece all the waythrough to Afghanistanand northern India. It was an incredibleempire that he conquered.

This isAlexander the Great. He invaded thePersian Empire was invaded in the year234 BC and within three years he hadtotally um overthrown the entire PersianEmpire. And Alexander the Great um was agenius and a general and he led hisGreek soldiers so far that eventuallythey said we're so far from home. We'renot following any further. At whichpoint Alexander the Great started tocome back and come back to Bab.

And whenAlexander the Great he came back to hewas about 31 years old. He held a partyto celebrate his magnificent empire. Hegot drunk. He had malaria.He didn't wake up the next morning.His kingdom was divided into the fourleading generals and the empire splitinto four.Does that affect us today?Well, anybody here tonight wheequals and you say that's logicalbecause we're used to thinking usingGreek philosophy and Greek logic and sojust as we have the the um the evidenceof negative measures Babylonian kingdomwhat risk watchers say so we all haveGreek philosophy how we think all acrossmuch of the world today so these guyshad a profound impact in how we live ourlives today so the question is in thedreams of of medievalthe head of gold and arms and breast ofsilver and the thighs of brass and thelegs of iron. Does the text actuallyname these kingdoms?Because this prophecy was given in 604BC, but Alexander the Great didn'tinvade um Persia until 334 BC.

There'salmost 300 years difference there. So,does the book of Daniel tell us 300years in advance actual names of thesekingdoms that are going to followBabylon? The answer is yes. We find thatin the book of Daniel 8, we have aprophecy of a goat and a ram. And at thefirst of those beasts is the ram.

Thisis what the prophecy says. This isDaniel speaking. It says, "I looked andI saw a ram standing inside the river.It had two horns. Both horns were long,but one was longer than the other, andthe longer one came up. I saw the ramcharging westward and northward andsouthwards.

All beasts were powerless towithstand it, and no one could rescuefrom its power. It did as it pleased,and it became strong. And just so weunderstand who this ram is, the textgoes on to say, as for the ram that yousaw with the two horns, these are thekings of wherePersia. Now this is giventhis was given 70 years before me andconquered Babylon. This particularprophecy,if you look at the details of this ram,it says therehad two horns.One came up later and was larger thanthe other.

The neo persians started outas the me and the Persians. The Persianswere the weaker side of that alliancebetween two world houses. Me were fromnorthern Iran and the Persians were fromsouthern Iran of today. But over time,the Persians dominates. Now we knowjustice proposed an empire just exactlyas the prophecy says.

Then the prophecysays ban charges to the west to thenorth and to the south.What direction did the empire go? Theycame from Iran and they came east intomodern day Iraq to conquer Babylon. Thenthey went north into modern day Turkey.They conquered the Hittites and theywent south and they conquered Egypt. Sothere's three directions west, north andsouth exactly as the prophecy says andthe two horns will be there but onewould be larger than the other. That'sthe meeting of Persians turning into thePersian Empire and the text tells usname of this empire 70 years before itcame into existence.

But then when youask, well, what about Alexander theGreat? Did did the book of Danielidentify 300 years in advance? Did itname the kingdom of Greece as the nextempire? And that's exactly what we findin the text. And this is how the book ofDaniel chapter 8 describes the right ofthe Greek Empire.

Says, "As I waswatching a male goat of the dead fromthe west, notice the ram appeared fromthe east." That was the Persians. Nowyou have an animal coming from the westwhich Greeks came from coming across theface of the whole earth in the ground.So it's moving with great speed. Thegoat had a horn between its eyes. Itcame toward the ram with the two hornsthat I had seen standing beside theriver and it ran at it with savagedthe ram. It enraged against it andstruck the ram breaking its two horns.Ram did not have power to withstand it.Threw the ram to the ground and trampledupon it.

There was no one who couldrescue the ram from its power. Then themale goat grew exceedingly great. Theheight of its power, the great mortal isbroken and in its place came fourstowards four winds of heaven. This is avery accurate description what happenedto the Greek empire. And the text goeson to say this this um goat representsthe kingdom of Greece.

So the male goatis the king of Greece. The great formbetween its eyes is the first king.That'll be Alexander the Great. And sothis text tells us that this this is theGreek Empire comes from the west whichit did from a perspective.It went great speed without touching theground. Alexander the great conquest wasvery rapid. It was a great horn betweenits eyes.

That was the first Alexanderthe Great. It destroyed the he was sentto the Persians. That's exactly what hedid. When it says at the height of itwas Alexander the Great conquered hisempire, he had that party in Babylon. Henever woke up the next morning.

Hedidn't live to see the fruits of hisconquest. Then it says it came at four,the four winds of heaven. The GreekEmpire split through a series of civilwars in the four kingdoms to Greece,Turkey and Iraq and Syria and Egypt.Most famous of those Egypt now ruled bygeneralwas the last of the colonies. You seegot engaged Julius Caesar. And so thethe book of Daniel identifies Persia andGreece in advance.

Greece 300 years inadvance before the Greek Empire came toexistence. And so then you have thelength of time.So what empireGreek?It was Rome.And the text says, "And there shall be afour kingdom strong as iron as ironcrushes and smashes everything shallcrush and shatter all beasts."And the Romans built one of the greatestempires of ancient history. There's amap there already around theMediterranean and north of Britain,south into almost modern day Ethiopia,east into modern day Iraq and north intoArmenia in the northeast there. And theRoman Empire, it started out as arepublic ruled by a Senate. Rome thenevolved into an empire ruled by anemperor and then it revolved into aunion of church and state which isanother absolute ruler to the pope.

Andso Rome has g through many phases andwhen the Roman Empire was established itincorporated the territories of Greeceand Persia and Poland all the empiresthat came before it and the Roman Empiredid crush everything in its part or thepiece of Rome as they called it when theRomans arrived he would destroy thelocal communities they burn everythingto the ground they enslave the localpopulationpolicy when the land was ified. Sonobody left to call it.The Romans were pretty brutal whereverthey went. And um they were they werefeared and hated and uh and they had apretty brutal empire. But after Romegoes on to say, "As you saw the feet andtoes cut and partly of iron, it shall bea divided kingdom, but some of thestrength of iron shall be in it as yousaw the iron mixed with clay. down atthe bottom it says in the red it saysthey will not all together just as irondoes not mix with clay.

So the RomanEmpiredidn't just disappear overnight. Itgradually faded away. And so whathappened was in 330 AD the Roman emperorConstantine he moved the emperor's theempire's capital in Rome all the way tothe east to a new city calledConstantinople Monday modern dayIstanbul and the empire split into twohalves west and east. The Eastern Empireknown as the Byzantine Empire and theWestern Roman Empire was left to fightoff the barbarian invasions and theWestern Roman Empire lasted another 150years. Then in 476 AD, the Roman Empirein the west found the city of Rome.

Itcame to its end and the last Romanemperor in Rome sent the imperialinsignia across the snow asking them topreserve to preserve what was left ofRome.And the average person how many toes arethere?The average person has got 10 toes.Yeah.Andthe text saysthat the feet, so you got the toes aregoing to be comprised of clay.Clay fit together.Clay do not. And if you look at thehistory, what happened with ancientRome? Barbarian tribes came in at thisthinking there on the left and themodern nations of Europe there on theright. So the angle the Anglo-Saxonscame from Germany and they took overEngland United Kingdom of today. Visigosto Spain and southern France.

Slavesinto Portugal. And they were tribes fromNorthern Europe to over North Africa.France they took over Northern France.You get the word uh France from that.The the Alammani took over Germany. Youcan go to Germany today. to Germany.The burgdundians took southeasternFrance from Switzerlandfrom the LombardAustria. Ost Austria and Hungary herover Italy.

So the prophecy said thatkingdom of iron it was going to splitand um we find 10 toes and the two feet.What happened historically was these 10barbarian tribes took overEmpire and the modern nations of Europedirect descendants of those 10 barbariantribesfully impressive stuffandwe recognized by Alami AlammanianLombard region is alsoin southern FranceAnd the Anglosaxonswere about the two tribes that they tookthe Indians that wascast on the night of the round table in500 AD when the Roman armies and theAnglo-Saxons invaded the Kelts intoScotland and Wales.So these 10 barbarians they took overRoman Empire and they formed the basisof the modern nations of Europe.It's pretty amazing.This prophecy was given in 604 BC andthe modations of Europe really only comeinto existence the last 200 years.It's a prophecy that spanned almost 2500years and you see the fulfillmentprophecyand you ask yourself well the text saysthey will not. Let me ask you thequestion.Has anybody tried to unify Europe?Can you look at a map of all the inworld history? The majority of them arein Europe.And if you just look through history,who has tried to unite Europe and whohas failed. So imperial Rome tried tounite Europe, they couldn't sustain it.Charlemagne or Charles the Great inFrance and he tried to unite Europe. Heestablished um he tried to establish theHoly Roman Empire again he failed.Charles the 5th from the Holy RomanEmpire and he tried to unite Europe withMartin Luther he failed.

Louis the 14thlate 1600s king of France he tried tounite Europe force but he failed. sawhim on the magnificent the ruler of theOttoman Empire. He invaded Europe andcame all the way to the gates of Viennaand he wanted to unify Europe Islam andhe failed. Napoleon Bonapart tried tounify Europe and he failed. Adolf Hitlertried to unify Europe and he failed.USSR tried to unify Europe, USSR failed.And the European Union has tried tounify Europe.They have not they have not succeeded.So the text says they will not togetherof Europe.This is a prophecy given700 years ago nowand we still see work out in the flow ofhistory.

It's pretty cool stuff.But what about the stone?What about the stone that hits thestatue? It strikes the foot of thestatue. So that stone comes in the timeof disunited of Europe. That's where weare today. Stone that takes out theentire statue.

Doesn't hit the head,doesn't hit the arms, doesn't hit thesides, doesn't hit the legs, strikes thefoot of the statue. That's what theprophecy says.So far, everything in that prophecy istrue as we follow it through the clearof history.The prophecy goes to say this in thedays of those kings that is the dividednations of Europe. The God of heavenwill set kingdom that shall never bedestroyed nor shall his kingdom be leftto another people. It shall crush allthese kingdoms and bring them to an endshall stand forever. Just as he saw thata stone was cut from the mountain, notby hands crush the iron, the bronze, thesilver and the gold.God has informed him Nebuchadnezzar whatshall be hereafter dream certain and itinterpretation prospect.

So what doesthat stone represent?It represents the arrival of the kingdomof God.You say well when exactly did thatkingdom of God arise? Did it ariseduring time that Jesus lived on earth?When Jesus first sermon is where Matthewchapter 4 says repent for the kingdom ofGod is in heaven.But you see if if the kingdom of Godis the first coming of Jesus that wouldstrike the statue in the legs of ironbut the stone strikes the statue in theiron. So it's not the first coming ofJesus Christ that will be out of ithistorical order. So we're not talkingabout the first coming of Jesus as thestriking of the statue wiping awaystatue. It has to be something else.Napoleon Bonapart um when he washe recognizedrecognized in his writings that thoughhe tried to unite Europe a force foundthat he was fighting not Britishfighting againstrecognizforce.

This is What about Jesus Christthat Jesus alone this empire of loveuntil this day millions will die forone of the greatest generals of humanhistory. And Jesus taught us to praythy kingdom come thy will be done as itis in heaven. So Jesus taught us to prayand the coming of the kingdom of God inall its glory not happened during Jesuslife on earth. It was still an eventualfuture. Jesus taught us to pray in ourprayers in the Lord's father our fatherwill be thy namedthy will be done on earth as it is inheaven.

And so this final kingdom that'sgoing to come, this final kingdom ofglory is going to wipe away a few traceof the statue that went before it. Howdid Daniel summarize that statue? Well,Daniel summarized the flow of humanhistory with this one verse. He lookedat when he summarized the whole statue,the flow of human empire, human history.Daniel said this. He said, "The statuewas huge, brilliant, extraordinary.was standing before you and itsappearance was frightening.Now that word frightening,the Hebrew word there is defal.

It meansterrifying.It means overwhelming and it meansdegrading.That one word, this um the appearance isterrifying or frightening thatsummarizes human historybecause the empire isempireand the enslavement.There is no empire in human history thatwas not militaryenslaver and oppressiveinjustice. We may dress up high schoolsof the British Empire saysand um if you look at all of ourhistories if we're honest with ourselvesno empireof one groupof historythat's gone on in these landsAnd so when Daniel says that the flow ofhistory,terrifying word fright or terrify, he issuming up humanum tendency to conquer others and todehumanize them and to otherize them andto oppress them in one way or another.No empire in human history has been inthis tendency to destroy people.So how describe this coming kingdomstone that wipes awaya great verse in the last1.Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth.The first heaven and the first earth andthe sea was no more. I saw the holycity, the new Jerusalem coming down outof heaven from God.I heard a loud voice saying, "See, thehome of God is one. He will go withthem. They will be his peoples in Godwith them rather than paining sufferingoppression and causing racialdehumanizing groupsays kingdom of God.

It says in theright waywill be no more and pain will be no morethings.That's the coming kingdom of God. So allthese human kingdoms that has beenoutlined in the prophecy605 BC,middle Persia, Greece and Rome and allof our societies in the world today haveelements of all of those empires intheir civilization one way or another.We're all affected by the slow empires.All these empires are terrifying.But the stone that's going to strikethat statue is going to establish a newkingdom. And we are living today in thedays when God is going to establish new.If you look at that flow of historythat that stone that hits the empirestrikes in the toes of the empire thestatue there which means that we areliving in the human history.The next empire, the next kingdom to beestablished is going to be like like anyother. It's not going to be built onoppression. It's not going to be builton conquest.

It's not going to be builton enslavement. It's not going to bebuilt on injustice. It's going to be thekingdom of God that says God himselfwill wipe away everydisease and sorrow will be no more. Whata beautiful promise. This is a promise,a kingdom that is coming that every oneof us regardless we come from Hawaii orfrom Michigan or from England,wherever today, wherever our country oforigin is, there's a coming kingdom andwe can all be a part of that.That kingdom is open to all peoples.

Youdon't need a passport to that kingdom.Don't need to be born in a certain partof the world.
