Session 1: The Son of Man’s Mission and the Call to Discipleship (Mark 8:27-38)

Session 3: The Paradox of Losing and Saving Life (Mark 8:34-38)

Jesus presents a paradox: to save one’s earthly life by selfish ambition or worldly gain is to lose eternal life. Conversely, to “lose” one’s life by surrendering to Christ’s service secures eternal salvation. This principle calls for a radical reorientation of values, placing eternal rewards above temporary comforts.
The desire for power, prestige, or wealth often corrupts relationships within families, churches, and communities. Jesus calls us to serve one another selflessly rather than seeking to dominate or control.

Session 4: The Kingdom of God Comes with Power (Mark 9:1)
