Session 1: Before Life – Known and Created for Purpose (Jeremiah 1:5; Ephesians 2:10)

Session 2: Life Itself – The Breath of Life and Conditional Immortality (Genesis 2:7; Genesis 2:15-17)

1. At the resurrection, all will be raised—both the righteous and the wicked. The wicked are resurrected for final judgment, so that God’s justice is made clear to all. This event confirms God’s righteous decisions and ends sin’s challenge to His authority.
2. The wicked suffer the second death, which is eternal destruction in the lake of fire, symbolizing the final end of sin and death. This is a merciful end to the rebellion against God, not eternal conscious torment.
3. The righteous, however, enter the first resurrection and are granted eternal life, reigning with Christ and serving Him forever. Death no longer has power over them, and they enjoy fellowship with God in the new heaven and new earth.
4. God’s ultimate plan is to restore creation fully, wiping away all sorrow, pain, and death. This vision offers profound hope for believers, assuring us that present suffering will be replaced by eternal joy and peace with God.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the hope we have in Jesus Christ—the hope that sustains us through life, death, and beyond.
