the momentfor our offering and I I just want tosay that these past few years I've beenreally inspired to see this ministryright up you know from my position II've been shocked in recent years thatsome people have even said you know itis too late now to start in anyinstitutions and um you know Iunderstand the importance of smallprojects and family projects absolutelybut I don't I don't know where that ideais that we don't need any more Outpostcenters and and institutions anymoreit's not like we have done such a greatjob in that area as as a people that wecan just say that we've accomplished itand we can move on we have fallen wellshort of of what God has ideal for us tohave Outpost centers of healing andtraining outside of every city in theworld it is not time to forget thatvision and to think that we're just finenow more than ever we need moreproperties like this and moreinstitutions for the healing and thetraining of God's people in preparationfor his second coming so I praise Godfor r r Red River Outpost and I'm sothankful that they're part of oci andyou are in our prayers and we will dowhat we can to help reach the goals andthe needs that you have cuz um you cansee from the report this morning thereare needs to run an operation like thisamen and first let me just say haseverybody received uh an envelope isanyone here that has not received anenvelope okay just a couple in the frontrow here if maybe the deacons couldbring a three or four here in the frontrow I believe everybody else may havehad one um I'll just run briefly throughthe the offering this morning it's onyour registration card you can review itthere as welland primarily here there's a lot ofexpenses running a camp meeting likethis this tent even the the uh thetoilets and all of that it it reallyadds up there's a large expense and forthis institution in its current positionto try to foot the bill for us to behere it's it's not it's not right so weneed to contribute and the mod the theregistration I felt was very modest andmany of us are here just for the Sabbathif you believe in this if you believethat this kind of event isimportant and I think those of us thathave been here through this week youhave seen that we have been inspired wehave been trained we have beenencouraged edified and so if you believein that please consider the the needs ofhelping to meet the expenses of runninga meeting like this but then we can alsoturn to The Lifestyle Center we heardthis morning from Chris you can't I meanit's hard to run a Lifestyle Center asit should be without a hydrotherapydepartment they have materials andstainless steel tubs which are veryexpensive sitting there there's noPlumbing for them and it's going to takesome extensive work that building wasnot built for lifestyle and for a hydrodepartment so we have to Jackhammer upand get some new drain lines in thereand that's not an easy project to underundergo so there are needs here uh thereis water improvements so the pump theextra tank so we have sufficientwater and then also the hydrotherapyDepartment the plumbing the remodelingthe fixing around so that we have thisplace lined up that that's really whenwe started that place in Brazil that wasone of our first works we know we needto have thehydrotherapy volume seven of testimoniesspeaks clearly about the need of thesetypes of places and talks about theimportance of water in healing and if wecould just bring people to the peacefulsurroundings ofNature and get them in line with thelaws of health and then she says addedwith hydrotherapy watertreatments nine times out of 10 caseswill be recovered through faith andprayer and the natural remedies that Godhas provided so hydrotherapy is such akey element and let us give to try toget this lifesty lifestyle Center on hisfeet um you know Finding property is notthe hardest thing my observationexperience has been finding propertiesis is probably one of the easier Partsbecause many people many Aven authorwill say hey use my property use myproperty but there's just an empty landyou know what's and there's no team Isaid are you going to leadit the hardest thing is finding a teamand a team that will work together andto find leaders that have experience tolead out the work that's the hard thinkto find and God has provided that inthis place they have what they need theyjust need someencouragement by their friends andsupporters here and and and Beyond tohelp get the work up on its feet becauseGod will sustain it but they need itshould you know even the Madison Schoolneeded a lot of help in the beginningand there was a lady named Nelly drulardthat helped start the Madison school andI just recently read a testimony of howmuch she gave and to today's dollar shegave up about$700,000 to to help get the MadisonSchool on its feet she was individuallyfinancing construction of building shewas selling off all her lands andinvesting Ellen White told her if youcommit yourself to this work in yourlast days you'll accomplish more in yourlast years than you have ever done inyour life and she heard that and shejust started putting her money intoGod'swork and she lived the rest of her lifethere at Madison and saw it flourishinto an amazing Ministry maybe God istouching some of us here maybe some ofus have thousands in the bank that wedon't need right now that's justGathering dust what are we holding itfor soon Jesus is going to come if youfeel moved by God's spirit to contributethere are numerous ways to do thatthere's a QR code there you could youcould so if you have a credit card onthe screen there you could get it thereyou've got it on your on your badge umto donate online you can do cash you canfill this out you can fold this back andwrite in your information there and thenjust fold it back in and if you wouldlike a tax deductible receipt all allreceipts over$250 will automatically receive areceipt if you uh would still like oneyou can ask for one if you give a lesseramount than that soum all righty let's have a word ofprayer dearfather we are so grateful for yourmercies and for to be here togetherunder this tent on the Sabbath day andto look around and see this propertythat you have provided and we thankfullywe don't have to raise money to pay offthis land it's been paid for we don'thave to raise up money to pay for thisbuilding that is a future a fulloperational Lifestyle Center it's paidfor but it needs Remodeling and therewas greater needs on this campus withstaff homes and so forth and we knowthat step by step you are going to blessthis place and you've touched the teamteam and laid out these important needsof water and remodeling for thetreatment rooms and the hyra departmentand for meeting the expense of this Campme help touch our hearts Lord to bewilling to give help us to have greaterfaith in what you can do to providingour needs help us to not take too closercare of ourselves but to care for yourwork to put your work first trustingthat you will provide so please blessthis offering and may these funds beused to advance your work to heal andtrain and touch many souls for thekingdom and we thank you asking for yourblessing now in Jesus nameamen if you would like to just pledge aswell I'm sure you can do that as well onthis become a supporter if you're notready to give today okay thank yougentlemen we have every August at theend of training and that's the song wealways sing Here I AmLord and so uh we give you all a warmwelcome today it seems that our heavenlyfather has answered our prayer and therain has held off can you sayamen and I was praying for Aiden thismorning but then I got out voted in theprayer so I was praying Pray For Rain tokeep the air nice and cool uh but Godhas given us cool air fresh air and wethank the Lord that the rain is notcoming down on our heads anymore so uhwe serve a God who takes care of thesmall things of life as well as the bigthings uh so I'd like to thank the RedRiver Outpost team for inviting mebrother Nan you and your team it's beena privilege to come and share with youand uh uh we've been speaking onWednesday Thursday Friday night on someof the teachings of Jesus starting withthe Call of the disciples Jesus has theauthority to call you to be his discipletoday uh then we focused on the questionof cleanliness where as the Phariseesfocused on cleanliness of the hands Godis concerned with the cleanliness ofyour heart and then last night we spokeon the issue of marriage uh becausebefore uh Satan before Jesus comes againwe know that the family and Sabbath aregoing to be under particular attack bySatan we're seeing it today and aChristian uh when we get married um isto be a CH that marriage is to be alight on a hill that cannot be hiddenand so Satan is attacking our familieswe spoke about that last night and Iwant to talk to this morning uh this iskind of a prophetic overview of where weare in the flow of History uh for thoseof you familiar with with advent'sprophetic interpretation and what wefind in Daniel and Revelation you willunderstand where I'm going with this itisn't a standard approach to Adventistprophecy but I hope you'll see uh theflow of where I'm going with this we'regoing to start out with the rise andfall of Empires on a global level thenwe're going to narrow that down and seeif those principles supply to the UnitedStates of America and then we're goingto look at where we are prophetically intime known as the time of the end whatdoes it mean for us as in as a Christianbody and then we're going to come allthe way down to us as individuals okayso we're going to kind start with thebright the broadest view on a microscopethen we're going to zoom in and zoom inand zoom in and zoom in and so I praythat God will bless our time togetherlet's bow our heads and ask for theblessing of the HolySpirit ohFather father who sustainsus of son who inspiresus and the spirit who leadsus be present in our midsttoday forgive us our sins individuallyand as apeople wash away the sin and The Shameof thepast and today Father we want to hearyou speaking to ourhearts father we want to hear themomentous nature of the times in whichwelive and father we want to know that ourLambs names in the Lamb's Book ofLife so father speak through me and forme may your spirit move upon the heartof every man woman boy and girl presenthere this morning and those watchingonline and father though we share thesefew hours together during this campmeeting Lord we yearn for that day whenthere will be no more departures and wewill worship you on that sea of glasswith the Saints of Eternityso father bless us now with yourpresence speak through me and for me asmy prayer in jesus' name I askamen so it was on my 40th birthday 11years ago I woke up and um I sat up andI Swang to the side of my bed and I putmy foot down and I stood up and I wincedin incredible pain it felt like I wasstanding on nails under my rightheel and I never had something like thatbefore and I put my foot down again abit more gingerly and man I can't put myfoot down what's gone wrong with my heelI looked and there were no Nails on theflooor there were no tacks there was noum dining needles or anything fromdining of clothes and so I thoughtwhat's going on with my heel so I kindof hopped into the restroom by my uh bya bedroom and I sat down and I I askedmy wife could you get my phone please soshe brought me my phone and I startedGoogling while I was there in therestroom and said um stabbing pain inyour rightheel now some of you know what I'mtalking about is known as planta fasciittisit's excruciating it's terrible and Isat there and um uh the the internettold me that men this particularlyaffects men aged 40 and above and it wasmy 40th birthday I thought that'sremarkableaccuracy so I started Googling whatailments do men age 14 and above haveand it was such a depressing list I Iwent about some other business for theday my time hadcome shortly thereafter I visited mydoctor for my checkup which I used tohave every three or four years and mydoctor she looked at me with certainsympathy in her eyes she said Mr Vineshe said you have now reached a certainage and when you reach a certain age younow need an annual medical checkup notjust whenever you feel like it and as aman when you reach a certain age whenyou have your annual medical certainmedical invasive procedures will beperformed now would you like somebodyelse in the room with us or not and Ithought what's going to happen to me itwashorrifying you know for the doctors inour room I just want to confess I haveavoided any real medical knowledge in myentire life because medicine to me meanscost and pain so it came as a shock tome that I had to have these certaininvasive procedures done from the age of40 but my time had now nowcome uh last year I turned 50 went formy annual medical and my physicianinformed me that well Mr Vine you havenow reached a certain age the time hascome for you to have a colonoscopy every5 years now would you like it this weekor would you like it next week and Ithought I'd rather to have it at all butshe said you do need to have acolonoscopy sir and so I had reached acertain age so it was my pleasure laterthe next week to go in and to have themcheck me out on the inside andapparently I'm all okay I wasn't worriedabout it before and I'm not worriedabout itsince last month my doctor said Mr Vineshesaid you've now reached a certain ageand I'm thinking I'm getting used tothis phrase uh and she said um you hadchickenpox when you were young and uhyou're likely to get shingles so Irecommend that you have your shinglesvaccine and so I said let me do someresearch on that cuz these days I wantto check these things out once did myresearch okay I think I'll Trust thisone so I went and uh I sat down and thelady the nurse was an Adventist and shesays oh brother Vine she said she saidum I I want to talk to about one of yoursermons I thought this is going to be apainfulinjection and um we we we had a a shortdiscussion about one of my sermons andthankfully she was in favor and I wasreally grateful for that uh she didn'ttake too long to find a vein or whatevershe was doing and I had my shinglesvaccine and I had reached a certain agethe time had come uh two months ago Irealized I couldn't see anything out ofmy glasses very clearly at all and uh Iwas I was teaching my daughter how todrive and I couldn't read the road signsup ahead I thought something's wrongwith my eyes so I went to checking withan eye doctor and my last eye test wasin about 2012 okay and and the eyedoctor she she looked into my eyes andshe looked at me she said very Gravelyshe said Mr Vine she says you have nowreached a certain stage of Life you'vereached a certain age where your eyesare going to go from shortsighted tolong-sighted and previously yourprescription was minus three and nowit's minus a half she says that's adramatic change in your in yourspectacles she says we need to take careof your spectacles and she says andbecause you've reached a certain age youneed to come in on an annualbasis we've reached a certain age forthose of you who are young enjoy youryouth from about the age of 18 it'sdownhill all the way so enjoy it whileitlasts now time isimportant and as my wife said to me onceshe said we live life looking forwardsbut we only understand life lookingbackwards and in Salvation history welook forward to the coming of Jesus butwe understand where we are in the flowof history when we pause and we lookback on what has happened before us andit's important for us to pause andreflect on salvation history in orderfor us to realize the seriousness andthe consequence of the time in which weare living right now this is not just2023 we're living in what the scripturecalls the time of the end and after theend the time of the end comes the end oftime so I want to reflect tonight onthis morning on on some of the flow theflow of history of some empires ofHistory um you'll recognize this islinked to Daniel chapter 2 we're goingto go into Revelation 13 um and as we gothrough this study I hope you hope Godimpresses upon you not just asseriousness of the times in which welive but what God is asking of you inthis time so we're going to first of allstart with the rise and fall of Empiresso on the screen there you see uh 10Empires are listedand I've given the dates these areapproximate dates some of them are veryprecise dates so it starts out with theNeo Assyrian Empire now the Assyriansactually had three phases to theirempire they lasted almost a thousandyears in three different phases but themost powerful phase of the AssyrianEmpire was the Neo that's the newAssyrian it was actually the last phaseand that goes from 859 to 612 BC uh whenNebuchadnezzar and his father naoppalosa they beat uh they beat the lastAssyrian King and then they defeat tothe mamish and after that Nebuchadnezzarcame down to D Jerusalem and took Danielcaptive the Assyrian Empire lasted about247 years now um you have the PersianEmpire they went from 538 to 330 BC weknow that the fall of Babylon to Cyrusin Daniel chapter 5 through to 330 BCthe death of the last Persian Emperorthey were replaced by Alexander theGreat and the Greeks or more technicallythe macedonians who were a small nationon the northwest coast Northwest part ofmodern day Greece and uh from 331 to 100BC you have the rise and fall of theGreek Empire now the Greek Empire splitinto four components after the death ofAlexander the Great many of us arefamiliar with that history um but uhGreek uh Greek philosophy lasted muchlonger than the Greek Empire in fact westill live in a Greek philosophicalworld today and our systems of logic andour systems of thinking the fact that wereason from cause to effect rather thaneffect back back to cause is all becauseof Greek philosophy so we still livewith Greek philosophy today just as welive with the remnants of the BabylonianEmpire because on your watch you have 60seconds and there are 60 seconds to aminute and there are 360 Degrees to acircle and that is because Babylonianmathematics was based around the numbersix they didn't have the zero back thenand so on your hand you have the remnantof Babylonianmathematics then after the Greek Empirewe have the Roman EMP the Roman Republicand I've split this into two you havethe Republic and then Imperial Rome youhave the Roman Republic from 260 wherewhere you have um um uh cannibalcannibal Hannibal Hannibal I should sayuh you know Hannibal crossed the Alpswith his elephants he didn't conquerRome he was later defeated in in NorthAfrica by skipio Africanus the Romangeneral and then up until 27 BC whereyou have the end of the Roman umRepublic and you have the rise ofOctavian the Roman Throne the Imperialthrone otherwise known as AugustusCaesar that Empire lasted about 230years you then have Imperial Rome from27 BC when Augustus beat Mark hansy andCleopatra in the Battle of acum in theEastern Mediterranean all the waythrough 280 ad to Marcus arelius thephilosopher Emperor and now the RomanEmperor lasted Empire lasted another 200years but after Marcus aelius it was anempire in steady decline and there wererepeated Barbarian invasions includingAtilla the Hun and the various um VIsgoth and other nations coming out ofGermany and Central Europe the ImperialRoman Empire lasted about 207 years youthen have the Arab Empire 634 to 880that coincides with uh the death of theprophet of Islam um um up almost untilthe founding of of the state of Baghdadwhen when the first Arab Jihad comes toan end that lasts about 246 years youthen have the mamluk Empire from 1250 to1517 down there in Egypt um one of theMuslim dynasties 2 67 years you thenhave the Ottomans going from 1320 to1570 now I know that the Ottomans LEDall the way through to1915 I know that but after 1570 andafter Solomon the Magnificent was turnedback at the gates of Vienna from thatmoment on the Ottoman Empire was on theslow decline it had had its day in thesun you then have the Imperial SpanishEmpire mostly in Latin and CentralAmerica 1500 uh from Columbus onwardthrough 1750you then have the Imperial of theromanof Russian Empire 1682 when you goon from Katherine the Great through to1916 in the fall of the Romanov uh thezaris system to the Bolsheviks in 1917they lasted 234 years and then you havethe British Empire from about 1700through about 1950 the death of WinstonChurchill the end of the British Empireand uh Britain kind of like gave herlast breath and World dominance passedto the United States of America with aBreton Woods um economic agreements nowas you look at this list of Empires herethere are few few things that strike youone is that it doesn't really matterwhat technology those empires have itdoesn't matter what the mechanisms oftravel are whether it's by Ox cartwhether it's by horseback whether it'sby Chariot whether it's by BS or trimsor whether it's by gallions or or or ummigs or orf-16s um and it doesn't matter the um itdoesn't matter the type of technology orhow you travel the bottom line is mostEmpires last about 10Generations there is a natural lifespanfor humanEmpires Empires do not last forthousands of years Hitler tries have theThousand-Year Reich and he lasted just ahandful of years there is somethingabout the human nature that means theempires they they erupt out of nowherethey have their day in the Sun and thenthey fade away and as you look at theflow of History you see time and againthis is what happens now some of theseEmpires changed the Assyrian Empire wasenti Land Based of there based inNorthern Iraq the city of mosul todaywas ancient Nineveh the capital of thethe of the Assyrian Empire and so youstart out with some Empires arelandbased and over the years withadvances in travel so Empires becomemore and more far-flung so you end upwith a British Empire where you have avery small Homeland and you havecolonies all around the world and theysaid are the height of the Empire theBritish Empire the Sun never sat the sunwould never sit or set on the BritishEmpire because it went all around thetheworld so despite the changes intechnology despite the changes in traveland weaponry um these technologicalchanges do not impact the lifespan of anEmpire it's about 10Generations so let's ask ourselves whatare the distinct stages of an Empire'srise and fall and the first stage isthis it's the stage of the initialoutburst and time and again in humanhistory we find a small nationpreviously viewed as insignificant oftenscorned by the more Nation powerfulNations around it will suddenly arisefrom its Homeland and erupt and overrunlarge areas of the world a great exampleis Alexander the Great who led Macedoniapreviously a minor Kingdom Northwest ofGreece he led them to conquer um one ofthe greatest Empires ever seen fromdanub in Central Europe uh in Hungaryall the way across to India and downinto Egypt That's a classic example ofthe eruption of a group of people intointo a global power in 600 ad 600 ADthere were two military superpowersdominated the Middle East and theyviewed each other with intense suspicionand it was not the United States ofAmerica against the Arabs you might sayit was the Eastern Roman Empire known asthe byzantines versus the Persians andthose two superpowers watched each othernervously playing like this great gamealong the boundaries who's going tocontrol the Middle East but when theArabs uh at the time 600 were a despiseddisorganized group they had no Centralgovernments no no rec recognized leaderand no Army but after the death of theprophet of muham the prophet of Islam in632 ad the Arabs or now the Muslim Arabserupted out of the Arabian Peninsula andthey attacked both superpowers theyattacked the Persians and they went Westthey attacked the byzantines and theyestablished an Empire extending from theAtlantic Ocean All the Way East toNorthern India and to the borders ofmodern day China and we still recognizethat Arab Conquest in our language todaythe the Muslim General who marched whowho sailed from North Africa into SpainNow call it jalta the rock of jaltajalta is a Corruption of of jabel tarqJebel means the mountain tarq is thename of the Muslim Muslim General wholed the armies of Islam across intoSpain so Jebel tarq now we call itjalter recognizes the Muslim armedconquest of North Africa and modern daySpain leading to the the moish Empire ofSpain that existed for many years in1200 the Mongols in Monday Mongol werean insignificant group of tribes but 20years later under the leadership of aferocious General named genis Khan theyinvaded China and 20 years after that by1253 ad the Mongols controlled thegreatest Empire of human historystretching from the China Sea andVladivostok right there opposite Japanall the way through to modern dayTurkey those Empires eruptedrapidly these new empires arecharacterized in the initial phase bybravery daring and courage the leadersdisplay Fearless initiative Crossingoceans scaling mountains carving throughjungles uninhibited by textbook orprotocol or precedent the new conquerorsare usually tough they're poor they'reenterprising they're aggressive and theytend to Decay Decay they tend tooverthrow decaying very defensiv mindedNations so after the age of outburst youhave what is known as the age ofconquest and the age of Conquest afterthe initial Outburst this expounds theboundaries of the new Empire and itoften solidifies those boundaries thisalso is a time of initiative ofEnterprise of Courage of Reckless umphysical um abandon in battle territoris won by Reckless bravery and daringinitiative one British Admiral in the1750s was executed at Sea because hewasn't daring enough in battle and afterthat for the next 100 years Britishnaval officers were known for theirReckless abandon because they will beexecuted when the British were fightingNapoleon and the British wanted toacross Europe in the Napoleonic Warsuh when the British wanted to take aFrench Fort the first men to go over thewall of the fort were known as The fororHope and they were known as The fullnHope because almost nobody survived thefulln hope but men queued up inmultitudes to be in the fulln Hopebecause if you were from a poorbackground your only chance of socialadvancement social honor and Militarywealth was to be in the full on Hope andto survive it because the survivorsreceived great honor so in the age ofConquest you have bravery and initiinitiative but as the new Empire expandsits borders it reaches naturalboundaries like the Atlantic Ocean orthe the the China Sea and so when whenEmpires reach their natural boundariesthey become their militaries become moreorganized more disciplined and they'remuch more professional and the newnation is very confident it isoptimistic and it is often contemptuousand it treats very poorly the conqueredraces that it has taken over which leadsus to the age of Commerce because onceyou've established your Empire thatstimulates Commerce and Industry whenyou can trade from one part of the worldto the other with No Boundaries inbetween that stimulates trade inincredible ways uh classic examples inhistory are the Silk Road which linkedBeijing to Hungary under the ear of theMongols or the wealth of Baghdad duringthe 9th and 10th centuries when it wasthe greatest city on earth it wasachieved through Baghdad controlling thecamel Caravans that crossed the SaudiArabian Peninsula and they controlledall trade between East and West it wasachieved in the 19th or the 18th centurywhen for 100 years the British Navy keptthe world's oceans free of pirates andthere was a upsurge in global trade theage of Commerce quickly follows afterthe age of conquest and the age ofCommerce proud armies still guard yourFrontiers but there is but the lust formilitary glory is replaced by love offinancial gain during stages 1 and twothe age of outburst and the age ofConquest young men are motivated byGlory and honor and military conquestbut by you get by time you get to stagethree the age of Commerce these ideasbecome empty words because they addnothing to the balance sheets of the nvore and the newly Rich commercial classso the age of Commerce brings us to theage of affluence as the wealthmultiplies in any given Empire so doesexpenditure on luxury items on art onarchitecture on palaces and luxuriesbuildings are built in the CapitalCities magnificent boulevards are builtparks are built that lend Beauty to thecities this is the age of Augustus ofRome um Queen Victoria of BritainSolomon the Magnificent of the OttomanEmpire and woodro Wilson of the UnitedStates you go from the Pax Roman to thePX branica to the PaxAmericana this is the age in whichmagnificent public buildings are builtand for instance if you look at Parishave you ever wondered why Paris hassuch wonderful whiteboulevards there is a reason for it it'snot because they're Romantics inParis you see the reasons right thishappening this week why Paris is widebards because during the FrenchRevolution the king had his Cavalry andwhen the when the poor rose up in Parishow do they stop the king entering thecity with his armies that the streetswere so narrow you could barely get acart down them they just blocked offthose narrow streets and the Kingcouldn't get into the city because thestreets were so narrow so when theyrebuilt Paris um when after Napoleonbonapart era they cleared out vast areasof the city so they have these very wideboulevards that nobody can block themovements of the military to hold thepeople down and if you see in Paristoday there's rioting in France for thelast four days all across the countryand one of the struggles they have inParis is when you have thousands of menfighting in the streets you can'tcontrol the streets from thegovernment's perspective because thestreets are just sobig there's a reason why these thingshappen the age of affluence in this agethe wealth of the Empire dazzles theonlookers but all is not well becausethe wealthy are now too proud to fightso time and again through human historydoesn't matter which empire you look atimmigrants are asked to fight thenation'sbattles immigrants start to populate themilitary and warfare is wage is wagedprimarily along economic rather thanmilitary lines beneath the surface Greedfor money is replacing Concepts such aspublic duty service h and civicresponsibility personal wealth replacesduty honor and Adventure as theobjective of the young people peopleseek their personal growth and Gloryrather than that of that that of theirCommunity their people or their Nationno longer do the schools produce men andwomen willing to serve their Nation butparents and students seek for theeducational qualifications that producethe bestsalaries now if any of this rings a bellwith what's happening in America justhold those thoughtswe're not talking about America justyet if you read the the Arab moralistsof the 9th and 10th centuries one Arabmoralist the guy called gazali wrotelived in 1058 to 1111 in Baghdad hecomplained extensively that the Baghdadeducation system produced young men whowere not interested in public publicservice but in personal wealth andaggrandisement these complaints go backa long way parallel to the age ofaffluence and subsequent to it you havethe age of intellect this age ispossible because there are ample fundsavailable for the pursuit of knowledgethe merchant princes of the age ofCommerce and affluence build and bestowuniversities the young seek academichonor rather than military Glory orpublic service time and again Empiresexperienced the age of intellect justbefore they enter the age of Decline andso during the age of intellect you seean an a flourishing of universitiesalmost every town every Community wantsto have a university if you look backOxford in Cambridge in Britain many ofthose colleges going all the way back tothe 1300s were created by wealthy uhNobles who wanted to be remembered forcenturies and they have been rememberedfor centuries but those Nobles have allcome and gone the Greek Empire the ArabEmpire the Persian Empire and the RomanEmpires all achieved their fullintellectual flowering after themilitary collapse of those Empires it'san interesting phenomena the the Romanscomplained that we conquered Greecemilitarily in about 180 15 50 BC butthen Greece conquered Romephilosophically and so Rome was dominantmilitar in militarian with itsengineering prowess but Greek philosophyin turn conquered Rome so who was thereal Victor in the clash between Romeand the clash with G between Rome andGreece while Rome conquered Greecemilitarily Greece conquered Romephilosophically and with the age ofintellect comes endless public debatewhich polarizes the nation involved andthe Empire the idea that intellect alonecan to save the situation withoutpractical skills without unselfishnesswithout sacrifice and Devotion to civicduty leads to inevitable social declinewhether it be the British Parliament ofthe 1950s to the 1970s the end of theBritish Empire or the byzantines inConstantinople who fought vicious CivilWars within the walls of Constantinoplewhile the Muslim armies were sitting onthe outside for almost 50 years justwaiting for the Christians to fightthemselves kill them kill themselves offdue to their internal Civil Wars umempires in Decline exhibit politicalpolarization and extreme socialdivision which leads us to the age ofdecline there are multiplecharacteristics in all of these Empiresthat that are common across all theseEmpires firstly in in the era of declinethere is very rapid immigration peoplesense that an Empire is in Decline andthey're going to get the last fruitswhile they can get it the originalethnic group becomes a minority withintheir own major cities and while thenation is still wealthy in paperand there is the appearance of socialcohesion on the surface Whenever thereare social economic or politicaldifficulties different communities bandtogether to protect their own interestsrather than the interests of widerSociety classic examples in our ownhistory are the LA riots and whathappened in the LA riots in Chinatownthe Koreans and and the Chinese shopowners they banded together to shootanybody that enters their Districtbecause they're going to protect theirsmall community within the larger Citywe saw it in the in the uh in 2020communities banding together to protectour interests rather than thinking aboutthe wider interests of society so whenEmpires start to go into decline as longas there is money everybody's happy tolive side by side but the moment themoney flow starts to falter and economicdifficulties or political difficultiesset in people revert almost to basictribalism and it happens time and againthroughout the era of of Empires in theage of decline there is a rise indefensiveness because she is wealthybeyond measure the nation is no longerinterested in glory or Duty or growthbut her primary concern is how to retainher wealth and her luxury and I can saythis I meet a lot of people in my rolewith Adventist Frontier missions I meetpeople who are relatively poor in termsof finances and I meet people who arerelatively wealthy and I can say thisthe poor are often consumed by worryabout how I'm going to pay the rent thismonth and the wealthy are often consumedby worry about am I going to lose mywealth in the stock market crash havingwealth is not necessarily bring peace ofmind and there are some people who sitwith the stock markets or the Dow Joneson a ticket tape on a TV screen in theiroffice and their emotional state duringthe day goes up and down depending onwhere the stock market is quiteliterally so these eight empires haverise of defensiveness defensive militarypostures are adopted this is the timewhen the Great Wall of China was built1939 was the time when the Magno linewas built in France to protect againstInvasion by Germany when the RomanEmpire was at its maximum height size onthe aadrian 117 ad he built what isknown as Hadrian's Wall a line acrossScotland and said we're going to go thisfar and no further and from that momenton the Romans are on the defensive theyweren't conquering any further when theEmpire is in Decline you can tell it'sin decline because it's having a verydefensive mindset at this stage theelites are concerned and consumed by adesire to protect their wealth ratherthan to use it to further any Civic goodor public cause you also find in empiresin in Decline there are deep pessimismsets in the energy the youth the beliefthe courage of the founders is long goneas the Civil institutions fail one byone cynicism and Universal pessimism setin which only hasten the internal socialpolitical and economic decline frivolityand sensual Indulgence which arebyproducts of Despair are the frequentCompanions of pessimism M that us eatand drink and be merry for tomorrow wedie now in Rome the Empire the Emperorsused to keep the people happy um if youwant to remain the Roman Emperor yougave them two things Panet circus whichmeans bread and circuses you had to givethe poor their daily allowance of breadand you had to have gladiatorialcontests in the amphitheater because aslong as people had food in their stomachand they had mindless entertainment theydidn't rebil against the Romanauthorities these days in the West Bankif there is a killing or a shoting andthe young Muslim men at the West Bankwant to protest about it how do theIsraelis respond they'll often pump pornthrough public TV in the West Bankbecause that keeps all the men at homerather than out on the streetsprotestingInjustice so decline is a moral and aspiritual disease um across theByzantine crowds as they were going intodecline about to be conquered by theMuslims the the the Byzantine populationwas divided into um people supporter thechariot races and there were four teamsthe Reds the Blues the greens and andthewhites and and you were red or blue orgreen or whites and people fought pitchbattles in the street like socerHooligans today supporting their team inmodern sports across United States andEurope um as in the ancient decliningEmpires the heroes are no longer theStatesmen the generals or the literallyGeniuses of society but the heroes ofsociety are the athletes the singer orthe actor and public morality collapsesduring the age of decline in the late9th century Baghdad was the greatestcity on Earth but as the Arab empirefell apart so did public moralitycontemporary historians in the 9th and10th centuries complained of popularsingers singing erotic songs accompaniedto the loot akin to a guitar in theearly 10th Century in Baghdad historiansrecord obscene language sexualpromiscuity indifference to religionamong the youth political corruption andpolarization they actually introducedthe first 5-day working week in historyhisory in the Arab Empire as it wasfalling apart and there was a generalreluctance to work was noted by theContemporary Arab historians as theirempire was fallingapart let me read that list again eroticsongs promiscuity indifference toreligion political corruption andpolarization a welfare state a generalreluctance to work those are thesymptoms of nations in steepdecline decadence is a moral and aspiritual disease it results when thosehave those who never earned it enjoy thefruits of excess wealth and power fortoo long it produces cynicism pessimismand frivolity and the N the citizens ofNations and empires in Decline no longermake an effort to save themselves ortheir Nation because they've had so muchsweetness for so long they're no longerconvinced that anything's worth fightingfor yet while organized religion fadesin these empires in Def in Decline andself-indulgence Vice and Revol seem tohold sway there's often the rise ofspiritual leaders who rais the banner ofChristian Duty and service against theflood of depravity in despair classicexamples in history are Amos who wascalled by God to minister to Israel anation at its greatest military timeduring jeroboam II the time of JonahAugustine of Carthage of North Africaone of the greatest thinkers in inWestern history who was who lived duringthe collapse of the Roman Empire he wasfrom North Africa modern day Tunisia andhe ended up living in Rome Patrick ofIreland and you don't say this tooloudly but he was an Englishman hewasn't an Irishman I have an English andan Irish passport so I can say thatbeing accused of being prejudiced allright but Patrick of Ireland was takenas a slave to Ireland and he escapedslavery went back to England thendecided to go back to Ireland as a freeman to share the gospel it's anincredible story John Wesley who gotraised in the 1700s in Britain a nationthat had the beginnings of an Empire butum public morality was at an all-timeload uh alcohol abuse use sexualimmorality was rampant and God raisedthe Methodist movement to bring Britainback from the brink through the ministryof John Wesley and of course in Russiayou have Alexandersoliton And if you've never read hiswritings I would recommend you startreading his writings Alexander solitonif you don't know where to start um uh Iwould read um first Circle then I'd readCancer Ward then I would read a day inthe life of van denisovich and then I'dread Gulag archipelago if you canstomach it um but he wrote about what itmeans to retain your Humanity in asystem that is fundamentally inhumanethat denies your Humanity how do youmaintain your Humanity now as we lookover the the the lifespan of theseEmpires we notice a few things firstlythat the lifespan of an Empire isapproximately 10 Generations we see thatrepeatedly we also see that Empires theythey don't tend to die due to militaryattack they die primarily due tointernal Decay Division and moralcorruption because too much wealth fortoo long gives you spiritual diabetes asa nation and then the nation dies soI've we've talked first about the riseand fall of Empires this life cycle ofEmpires Empires go through stages andyou know I speak to you know I I I havean American passport I'm an Americancitizen I say I'm British by birth I'mAmerican by choice and I'm saved bygrace all right and I grew up in Britainin the 1970s when the empire was insteep decline when there we had a 4-dayworking week when we had power rationingwhen half the nation was on strike atany one time nations in Decline go intoFierce internal struggle bitter internalstruggle and people polarize into theirtribal groups when Nations going to trlestruggle into turmoil into Decline andit almost takes two to three generationsfor a whole new generation to rise whodidn't know the wealth of the Empire andthey can start learning to work forthemselves once again so I've livedthrough the decline of an Empire I'veseen it atfirsthand I've seen the social divisionwhen my father was a pastor in England UMargaret Thatcher maybe many of you haveheard her name she took a politicaldecision to close all the mines ofEngland all the mines just going to beclosed why because the mines had gone onstrike in the 70s and brought down agovernment and she said the minerscannot overturn a democratically electedgovernment so she took the decision toclose every working mine in the countrydespite the fact that most ofelectricity came from coal and they werevery profitable and what she did was sheimported coal from the Soviet Union fromPoland stockpiled two or three yearsworth of coal and then shut down themines she said I'm going to beat theminers and if you live in West Virginiayou know what it means when the minecloses in your town everything shutsdown around that mine the whole economiclife that town depends on the mine andwe were ministering in Yorkshire at thetime and we saw the division and thepoverty in the anger of men on thestreets when the government just closesdown your business because somebody elsedid something 10 years ago and you justsee homes and families being torn apartwhen when this kind of um thesepolitical decisions aremade empires in Decline are not prettyso let's look at the stages of theAmerican Empire shallwe and I'm not saying this I'm notsaying this because I'm happy aboutit I'm saying this because there is acoming Kingdom that will wipe allEarthly kingdoms away and when Daniel iscalled to explain the vision of Danielchapter 2 to King Nebuchadnezzar thevery first words out of Daniel's mouthare before he talks about the head ofgold he says in your dream O King yousaw a statue and the statue wasterrifying so what Daniel is sayingthere the summary of Earthly history isthat the rise and flow of Empires is aterrifying experience for peoplethroughout the ages because human rightsare routinely trembled upon withinEmpires Conquest involves the tramplingupon of other people's human rights andso Daniel says the flow of Empires is aterrifying thing and we are living inone Empire right now um and uh there isthere is a coming Kingdom that is builton Justice and righteousness and mercyand truth and we are ultimately citizensof that Kingdom as followers of JesusChrist so we're just passing throughwhether you lived in the judan EmpireThe Empire of King Solomon whether youlived in the British the Persian theArab um whether you lived in the empiresof Africa Africa has had many empiresyou look at modern day Marley in themiddle of Marley You've Got timbuk 2timbuk 2 is a remote remote place it wasa center of World Learning for somecenturies and there's still a libraryand music festivals in timbuk 2 becausethe marlean Empire spanned much of WestAfrica and it was much of it by conquestand uh that we have many empires in inin Africa we simply don't study part ofthe reason is we tend to study uminteresting bits of History like theRoman Empire or World War II and thereare less fashionable parts of worldhistory that nobody really cares aboutbut it's still history nonetheless andwe can still learn lessons from theempires of Africa the empires of Indiathe the Aztecs and the Incas of LatinAmerica and the Mongol and and and thethe Ming dynasties of China but we'renow in the stages of the American Empireso let's look at the stages of theAmerican Empire and um so I'm I'm justdividing things up here as so the age ofpioneers you might say was 1492 to 175before it was an era of Spanish andEnglish settlements driven by religiouscommercial and Imperial interests it's atime of Chris for Columbus the settlingof the first those 13 colonies on theeast coast of the Atlantic there thatwas then replaced by the age of Conquestthe USA gradually emerges as a worldpower expanding to the West with adoctrine of manifest destiny there is amassive importation of slaves fromacross the African continent to supportthe economic model of the Southerneconomy and pl ations in America inthose times particularly 1840s there wasa Great Awakening there were reformmovements there was the annexation ofTexas they may dispute that and therewas the Mexican war and America in the1840s at the time when Ellen White was ayoung lady and the time of the greatAdvent movement and the millerites itwas a wash with reform movements therewere people advocating for health healthreform dress reform education reform thesuffragette movement and abolitionistsAmerica was was a buzz with reformmovements during the age of ConquestAmerica was not just pushing back thegeographical boundaries but people inAmerica would trying to push back thesocial boundaries as well in a positivesense and we as Adventists came out ofthat that that um that bubbling pot ofreform movements in the 1840s and theSecond Great Awakening then you have theage ofCommerce 1844 to1945 can you still hear me back thereno no all right can we turn the volumeupBrothers Allright so can you hear me now backthere yes if you can hear me raise yourhands all right thank you very muchthank you I'm partly deaf in my left earwhenever my wife talks to me and I don'twant to hear it I turn my left ear toher then I can claim I never heard youand I sleep on my right side at night sowhen she talks to me at night all I hearis wah wah wah and I can legitimatelysay I didn't hear you and she canlegitimately say but I told you and thenwe're both right so I'm glad we have nohearing problems today we then come onfrom the age of Conquest to the age ofuh Commerce 1844 to1945 climaxing in World War II andAmerica being the military andIndustrial arsenal of Freedom around theworld you have the era of Internationalisolationism the Indian Wars leading tothe conquest of the West and toreservations the rise of socialDarwinism and um um scientific racism inAmerica the era of mass immigrationthere a backlash to minorities and toimmigrants such as the KKK it's thegrowth of industry and commerce likenever seen before and so it's theAmerican factories give victory in WorldWar II that's the age of Commerce thatleads to to the age of affluence1945 to about the year 2000 that's theage of affluence in America there'sthere is the military industrial complexthe Civil Rights Movement the growth ofthe suburbs is driven by the era of theautomobile there is a dependence onfossil fuels leading to endless wars inthe Middle East and the establishment ofthe Petro dollar under Kissinger andthere is serious industrial pollutionacross our nation that then turns to theage of intellect when there's a massiveincrease in young people going tocolleges across our nation and all asudden Across America every Communitywants its own Community College and youfind the rise of online education and soone College University of ArizonaUniversity rasmason Cen rasmason Collegein Minnesota starts to expand nationallyall across the country in the age ofintellect this is the era of significantimmigration from Latin America is therise of the environmental movement isthe rise of economic globalization thisis significant for us because in the ageof Commerce people still think I'm anAmericancorporation but in the age of intellectthose corporations no longer care abouttheir American workers they're concernedabout the bottom line so Ford may havestarted in the United States but it isnow a global Corporation and it doesn'tcare where its workers live at all andso we have the rise of Americancorporation into Internationalcorporations into Global corporationsand communities are devastated by themovements of capital we see the rise ofethnic and ideological diversity withinthe United States leading to internalculture wars the collapse of the unit ofthe USSR the the uh Union of socialistSoviet republics leads to the us havingpolitical and Military hegemonyworldwide yet internally in Americaduring the era 1960 to2000 we have shifted to a philosophy ofDespair in the 1960s in France you hadthe existential philosophers and theysaid um democracy gave us Adolf Hitlerscience gave us the atom bomb andcommunism gave us the gulag and and thehorrors ofStalin and so the French philosophers umended up with what we now call aphilosophy ofDespair that there is nothing good aboutthe human condition and that thatphilosophy turns into what we now callpostmodernism and out of postmodernismwhich says that that all truth isrelative and everybody has their ownstandpoint and you have your perspectiveand I have my perspective and there isno absolute truth and everything isblurred out of postmodernism comescritical theory and out of criticaltheory we get lgbtq studies and fatstudies and postc Colonial studies andtrans gender studies and critical raceTheory and all of these philosophiesthat we now see on the streets ofAmerica when you trace themphilosophically back through the agesthey all go back to the philosophy ofdespair of France in the1960s so when we see on the streets ofAmerica young people with their hairdyed electric blue and all the rest ofit they're not ourenemies we can agree with them on thefundamental diagnosis of The HumanCondition is that The Human Condition isfundamentallyflawed I may not agree with yourcritical gender Theory I may not agreewith your critical theory I may notagree with your postmodern Theory I maynot agree further back with yourexistential Theory but what we can allagree on which is a starting point foryour philosophical journey is the factthat Humanity left to its own devices isdoomed and so we can talk about this iswhat we share in common with our socialjustice warriors on the streets thepride paradewe say we agree with you that withoutsomething special humanity is flawed andit isdoomed and because we live in a societythat is driven by a philosophy ofDespair we're desperately trying tocreate meaning for ourselves so onsports TV they talk about who are thetop 10 quarterbacks of all time who arethe top five basketball players of alltime what are the top 100 movies of alltime we're creating significance in aworld that Phill offically denies thepossibility of significance and purposebut we cannot live as humans without thepossibility of forgiveness of ofsignificance or purpose or meaningtherefore we're trying to create purposeand meaning and the sexual revolution inAmerica today is driven by this desirefor meaning and purpose because in thein the biblical worldview God gives usthe gift of conjugal love withinmarriage that is not an end in and ofitself but it leads to two things itleads to childrenand all the joy and love that thatbrings and the propagation of thespecies but it also leads to a cementingof the love relationship within thatmarriage so within the Christianworldview that the sexual activity isnot an end and of itself but it is ameans to a greater goal given us by Godin the French um existential perspectivewhich drives to sexual Revolutionbecause nothing has purpose that meansthere's nothing beyond the sexual actTherefore your identity is driven by thesexual act that's the limit the heightthe extent of youridentity so that is why your sexualorientation your general identity issuch a big issue for so many peopletoday because that is their only sourceof meaning and purposephilosophically and we're not to beangry with such people people who areMarching on the streets in the prideparades they may be chanting theirslogans and all the rest of it they areproducts of a philosoph of a philosophyof Despair and most of them have no ideathis is what's drivingit and the Christian solution is to sayyes all have sinned all have fallenshort of the glory ofGod but for those who believe there isthe promise of eternallife and so if we go back to thestarting point for all these movementsthere is a Christian answer and ratherthan debating what you're doing out herelet's go back to the root causes of thisand say the gospel is the answer to theunderlying problem that you're trying toaddress so we are right now in the ageof intellect as I'm sharing we have thisum we have this philosophy of Despairdriving our nation and on the streets ofour lands and uh then that leads to theage ofdecadence well I would say that inAmerica we're now in the age ofdecadence we have massive legalimmigration we have the the expansion ofthe welfare state Britain expanded herwellfare state in 1950 just as theempire was fading the Arabs uh expandedthe 5-day working weak and their welfarestate just as their empire wascollapsing and uh so welfare states areput in places by government not so muchto help the people but to essentiallycontrol the people because you becomedependent on upon us and it stops thesocial division taking over people gettrapped in the dependency trap all rightwe have the situation in Britain I don'tknow whether you have it in Americawhere if I'm unemployed and I've gotfour children I get put in publichousing and I get so many benefits thatunless I get a job that's paid twice asmuch as a regular teacher is being paidis not worth my while to work I'm caughtin the benefits trap therefore I'm I'mthe servant of the state I'm trapped I'mthis a client electorate I will nevervote this government out they'rebasically paying me to exist and soempires in in in decline in the era ofdecline or the age of decadence they putin place welfare states not so much tohelp the population in need but to kindkeep them under control we have the riseof military defensiveness in Americatodaywe have the rise of national pessimismand cynicism is that right rather thancelebrating the literary Giants of ourpast we have a pop culture that ismeaningless froth we are watching beforeour eyes as in previous empires in theirera of decline a collapse in publicmorality we have sogi confusion sexualorientation gender identity confusion isaffecting our children we see the lossof Tolerance tolerance is a Protestantvirtue it is not a secular virtuethe concept of Tolerance in Americacomes from the writings of RogerWilliams and Roger Williams comes across1630s to to uh Boston he he he refuses ajob as a pastor in one of the bigchurches there in Plymouth Rock and thenin Boston itself and he goes just Northof Boston and he realizes and he writesabout this and he says that God speaksto the conscience of the Turk by whichhe meant the Muslim the Jew theProtestant the Catholic and the NativeAmerican and if God speaks to the of AllPeoples therefore we must respect theconscience of other people and thedecisions they make in goodconscience and that is why from RogerWilliams we have the concept ofTolerance now in American history therewas a famous sermon by John Winthrop oneof the leaders of the pilgrim fathersand his sermon was quoted by John FKennedy that this nation will be a acity on a hill yes that gives light tothe world remember that the city on ahill speech by John F Kennedy well uhwhen Winthrop gave that sermon what hewas saying was his vision for Americawith the pilgrim fathers was not ofreligious freedom it was of of a unionof church and state between Puritans andthemagistrates and they were looking for aa union of church and state when thePuritans first came over and the city ona hill speech that gives light to theworld they were essentially EnV visitingAmerica as a formal Union of church andstate and that Vision did not Prevailwhen we wrote that the First Amendmentto the bill of right the First Amendmentto the the First Amendment to the Billof Rights in the Bill of Rights the USConstitution it guarantees us religionreligious freedom and freedom fromreligion and that's the that's thelegacy of Roger Williams so in Americatoday we have the loss of Tolerancebecause we have competing worldviews andthose worldviews will take no prisonersand they will now they will now theywill allow for no coexistence ofdifferent perspectives and just thisweek in the Supreme Court there was amajor landmark decision about um agraphic website designed in Colorado andyou should read about these thingsbecause while we yet have the freedom toshare the gospel and to speak truth weneed to make use of that time now thattime will not last forever Michigan thislast week passed a law in the house thatbasically says if you you if you causeoffense to anybody in any way possiblealong the lines of sexual orientationgender identity or pronouns it's afelony with up to 5 years in prison and$10,000 fine and this can be donewhether you say it's in person orwhether it's online I'm thinking man I'mgoing to get prosecuted soon as thatBill getspassed and it's a direct challenge tothe Supreme Court and the FirstAmendment to the US Bill of Rights sowhat we're seeing today in in this eraof of decadence we're saying the loss ofTolerance we're seeing in our nation theerosion of formal religion we'rewitnessing socialpolarization we're W we're witnessinghatred of our past which is nowcondemned as being systemic oppressionwe're watching the rise of dysfunctionaland divisive politics we are seeing theintentional debasement of our currencywhich essentially trans we transferswealth from the poor to the wealthy insociety that's what we're seeing rightnow we're seeing the erosion of ourmiddle class which means the erosion offunctional democracy and we are seeing amassive increase in income inequality inour nation and the net result of this iswe have surging deaths of Despair and inKentucky and West Virginia you know allabout deaths of Despair if you drivethrough one of those Hollow in WestVirginia you'll see meth house aftermeth house boarded up those housescannot be lived in any longer because ofthe chemicals that we used we see thesocial destruction in front of our eyesand so as it used to be that the primarysource of of of of suicide in Americawas middle-aged white men who achievedall they wanted to in life they're 5560to get a cancer diagnosis and ratherthan face 20 years of long painfuldecline they just took their life nowone of the largest growing sources of Deuh suicide in our nation areteenagers because they've em bibed thisphilosophy of Despair in our schools andwhat is the point of living what is thepoint ofliving and it's interesting to note andI'm just going to just take a briefdetour into politics here that America Ibelieve is in that age of decline or ageof decadence rightnow and historically no Empire has everrecaptured its previousglories no Empire has ever moved back intime no Empire has ever succeeded ingoing from the age of decline back tothe age of affluence or the age ofCommerce there are someone in our nationtoday our nation is out of Crossroadsthere are someone in our nation whowould say we want to take things back tohow theywere the problem is a nation is at theage of affluence or Commerce not becauseof changes in the laws but because ofthe way people's heartsare and if people are no longerinterested in doing that which is goodfor the community and advancing thecommunity as a whole you're not going toget back to where we were in the past Ithink you know what I'm talking abouthereyou can't turn back the clock unless youturn back thepeople and to turn back the peoplerequires a spiritual Revival where welove our neighbor as ourselves and wedon't repeat the injustices of the pastand we say that civic duty and publicservice and honesty and integrity arevalues that we hold high in our nationbecause those are no longer held high inour nation certainly if you look atWashington so it's very hard to see howyou can go back because no Empire in inhistory has turned the clock back ontime so where does Americago where do we go we're at thisCrossroads someone wants to take us backbut the Book of Revelation says we'regoing to go in a certain direction andit's not a very pleasant Direction so Iwant to talk just briefly about the endtime role of America as as we find thisin Revelation 13 I'm just going to addsome flesh to the flesh to the thepicture here that we were founded on thetwin principles of being Republicanbeing Protestant but we know that thereis coming a Time when all the foundingprinciples of our Republic will berepudiated and that includes the Bill ofRights including first and secondamendment third and fourth amendment wewill reach a state where the Deep statewill replace democracy and if you don'tbelieve me that's exactly what ishappening now we are going to reach thepoint where the globalist narrative willreplace truth in the Public Square we'vejust lived through three years ofsystemic lies at a global level we aregoing to reach the point where coercionwill replace Liberty of conscience we'regoing to replace reach the state wheretotalitarianism will replace religioustolerance we have reached the placewhere the creature rather than theCreator is worshiped we see that duringpride month in our streets we will reachthe points where as God is rejected byour political and social Elites so ournation will end up speaking like adragon as per Revelation 13 now thedragon in Revelation 13 is Satan thatmeans that Washington will be dominatedby a satanic force and satanic agendasand satanic forces will dominate ourpolitical system and we will become thatend time totalitarian deep State andauthoritarian system that will trampleon Liberty of conscience and uphold asatanic agenda this is where we aregoing as a nation this is what we findin the Book of Revelation chapter 13 wewill becrippled by politically correct criticaltheory inspired heal self-hate the u USAwill seed its power to a globalistagenda and we will use our military andeconomic might to enforce globaleconomic mandates and ultimatelypersecution and the death penalty touphold false worship as dictated by thepapacy the first piece of Revelation 13and those faithful to God will facepersecution up to and including deathnow I'm grateful that we're Adventistswhich means we see beyond this end TimeCrisis and we know that Jesus is comingagain when you know the end of the storyit's easier to get through the story allright if I ever read a who done it likean Agatha Christie or a Sherlock HolmesI'll read the last page then I can feelcomfortable like how does this thing endokay does anybody else do that okay butas Adventists we know the end of thestory which is that every taar will bewiped away and death and disease andsorrow will be no more and the Sea willgive up her dead and God will dwell withhis people and his people will dwellwith him and there will be no more deathanymore and Satan and his demons will bedestroyed in that Lake of Fire and Iwould say burn baby burn because thereare too many people are dying withcancer and diabetes and drug abuse anddepression and divorce and all the restof it Satan has to pay the price forwhat he'sdone and so we're now living in this erathe era of decline we've gone throughthe American Empire we've gone throughthe lifespan of our Empire and now we'rein the era of Decline and empires inDecline tend to lashout because they want to keep theirpower and they want to keep their wealthand Revelation 13 tells us quite clearlythis is what's going to happen and I'vejust filled out some of the details foryou here on thescreen which means we are now living inwhat the Bible calls the time of the endin prophetic terms we have reached acertain age as a planet in propheticterms a certain time has now come we arenow living in what the Bible calls thetime of the end we find the phrase thetime of the end in Daniel11:40 uh which is the end of the 1260years of papal Supremacy in Europe andpersecution of the Saints and that ccame to an end in 1798 ad when the popewas taken prison by the armies ofrevolutionary France and so the the timeof the end has come but for what you mayask well until Jesus stands up todeliver his people as in Daniel 121:2 athis second coming and so between thetime of the end beginning in 1798 andJesus coming again we're going to livethrough the final chapters of the greatcontroversy that's where we are nowfolks we're in for a bumpyride when the pilot says buckle upbecause we're going through someturbulence we better buckle up now weknow that there is going to be a goodLanding we know that Jesus is comingagain but we got to get through thisturbulence before Jesus comes again andwe get through that turbulencetogether because in the last three yearsI hope you realize that when push comesto shove there's no Cavalry coming totherescue and our entire church hierarchycouldn't care less about your well-beingI'm sorry to say thatyou were thrown to the bus we werethrown to the bus and people lost theirjobs they lost their homes they losttheir businesses they were thrown out ofUniversity they lost custody battlesthey were denied unemployment benefitsbecause of the statements of ourecclesiastical Elites and it was wrongit waswrong and in that in these last threeyears we've leared real quick that youneed to be able to trust a fewpeople if somebody came to you and saidbrother do you have any Ivanmeon knowing that you're not supposed togive out icton if you're not a dietdoctor with prescribing rights what areyou going to do do you trust that personask the underground Adventists of theSoviet Union how did you get by is cu Itrust you with my life and if I'mtortured I'm never going to really youreveal youridentity so as God has given us thispause we've had a dry run for the finalcrisis the final crisis is coming nowGod is giving us in in in his Mercy atime when we can reflect what pressurepoints did the world have on US duringthe last 3 years and I need to get ridof those pressure points in order thatwhen the next Crisis arrives I'm bestplaced to survive thepressure it means getting out of debtmaybe getting out of thatmortgage maybe no longer seeking acareer in Corporate America that imposesmandates and maybe earning a trade whereeverybody needs you and they'll pay youanyway to do a PR a skilled job it meanspositioning your life so the governmenthas as little influence over you aspossible and you're as independent aspossiblewe've been given this opportunity to askourselves what gods in my life made meoverride my conscience in the last 3years and to deal with those gods and toget rid of those Gods so that in thefuture crisis when more mandates comeour way we can smile at thestorm in the time of the end this is thetime when the social polarizationbetween evil and good will grow into avast Chasm compelled by the love ofChrist the Earth will be let by man willbe lit by manifestation of God'scharacter among the saints that's thefourth Angel Revelation 18 whereas theLost of this world driven by hatred ofthe sin bearing and sooncoming saviorthey will visit their anger upon thesaints of God that time has now come thetime has come when evil will flourishand achieve a full flaring among theunregenerate when they chant in New YorkCity we're here we're queer we're comingfor your children The Mask has comeoff the gloves have come off we'recoming for your children when certainStates inica America are now SanctuaryStates for Trans surgery where if yourchild runs to certain States likeCalifornia they will protect them andthey will fund the the the the um thethe the uh I'm looking for the word nownot the not the emasculation of yourchildren the mutilation of your childrenagainst your will as aparent that time has now come the maskhas come off Satan's doing his best todestroy the Next Generation in any whichway possible evil is going to flourishand achieve a full flowering among theunregenerate as there will be a harvestof righteousness among the saints of Godthere will be a reaping of wickednessamong the wicked and a harvest ofrighteousness and moral living among goGod's saints that time has now come allaround us we are witnessing social andcivilizational collapse accompanied bymoral confusion and the existential painand despair and search for meaning andidentity caused by our society'sunderlying philosophy of Despair thattime has now come the people on thestreets are acting out of an underlyingphilosophy of Despair and it's nosurprise that they're doing what they'redoing because they don't know any otherway to find purpose and meaning in lifewith the collapse of our Fiat currenciesand the roll out in the next couple ofyears of Central Bank digital currenciesthe roll out of the new who GlobalHealth verification scene which meansyou cannot travel unless you're updatewith certain injections theinfrastructure for Revelation 13 and theglobal implementation of BU Nobyeconomic mandates is being put in placein front of our very eyes and if youdon't believe methen you can make your 10 or 20 yearInvestments but your dollar is losingvalue every day it can buy less and lessevery day and soon every transaction youmake will be known and then it will becontrolled and if you don't believe meon that in Europe the EUR the uhEuropean Central Bank their proposalsfor the Euro digital do digital Eurowhich is about to come out is that youcan have only let's say €3,000 a monthin your account but if if you can't ifyou need €4,000 a month to live thatmeans you can never build up savingsthat means you're ESS entially a slaveto the system they have the right tocharge you negative interest rates thatif you don't spend all your money withina certain time we'll take money fromyour account the the the Euro thedigital Euro they're talking about itbeing um uh fungible that has aneconomic um lifespan so if you earnmoney in January you must spend it bythe end ofMarch so your ability to buildwealth and to be independent of theeconomic system government control isbeing eliminated through the instructionof Central Bank digital currencies thatera is taking place right before oureyes I'm not a conspiracy theorist thatif you just read the financial newseverybody's talking aboutthis so while you have your dollar useit for God's kingdom use it for God'skingdom because when I buy my UnitedAirline tickets it says this flightgenerates 36 tons of carbon dioxide nowif they're measuring it today that's aprecursor to them monitoring it and thencontrollingit you can't control that which you donot measure and so the fact that they'remeasuring the carbon dioxide per flightis an only matter of time before you getcertain carbon credits you can make somuch travel per year and after that youare done so we see the tentacles ofcontrol building around us the theinfrastructure Revelation 131 16-17those end time mandates is taking shapebefore our eyes this is a serious timein which we're living brothers andsisters this time that prophecy hasspoken about has now come we are nowliving in the time of the end we'reliving in the time that the prophetswrote about that the disciples askedJesus about on the Mount of OlivesMatthew 24 and 25 this the time has nowcome where in this age of Christ hatingintolerance the Gloom of globalpersecution is only going to get darkerand darker and because the persecutionis going to get worse and worse the timehas come for the saints of God to shineever brighter and our witness yourwitness my witness will be recorded inthe anals of Eternity your life yourWitness your ministry is lived outbefore unfallen worlds before unfallenangels and before Fallen Angels today asfive or six precious Souls give theirlife to the Lord Jesus Christ there isrejoicing across the cosmos and there isanger among the the armies of Satan thatpeople say that God is a god of love andhe is worth following and so your lifeyour ministry is not just lived out inMichigan or Kentucky or Texas it isplayed out on a global Cosmic canvasevery word you make and Every Breath YouTake ripples throughout the Universe andit says one thing or another about thecharacter of our heavenly father thetime has come for you and I to wash offand turn away from the meaningless Godrejecting froth of modern popularculture the time has come for you and Ito ask for the grace to overcome and befree of our besetting and our cherishedsins the time has come for you and I toask the Holy Spirit to so recalibrateour moral compasses and to so sensitizeour consciences once again that we willbe as true to duty as the needle is tothe poem the time is has come for youand I to pray for the grace the truthand the strength to unapologeticallyunreservedly and unashamedly stand forthe right though the heavens fall whilethe world may have sold itself to doevil as did Ahab we will not sell ourspiritual Birthright as did um nabothand we will not be bought or sold bythreats to our careers to ourprofessional licenses to our jobs to ourfinances our families our socialreputation or our well-being we will notbe bought or sold because we are soldout to truth and we will stand for truthtruth it is time to sacrificially loveand minister to our neighbors as neverbefore it is time for you and I to putdown deeper Roots than ever in scripturefor to turn off the cable or betterstill snip the cable and to learn whatthe word of God actually says the timehas come for you and I to ask for theanointing for the infilling for thesanctifying for the convicting and theconverting power of the holy spirit ineach of Our Lives the time has come foryou and I to dwell upon and to put intopractice the teachings of Jesus on adaily basis as never before the time hascome for you and I to use our lastremaining economic freedoms and ourevaporating financial resources toadvance the gospel in our nation andaround the world and to grow God'sKingdom in our communities here inKentucky in the United States and to theends of the Earth that time has now comethat time has now come we areapproaching the time of the end and weare in the time we're approaching theend of time and the time that theprophets wrote about has now come thetime that the prophet phets long to tosee has now come the time that thedisciples long to be a part of has nowcome and we are living in that time thetime has come for you and I to BearGod's last message of Mercy to our DyingWorld before the end of time because theend of time is coming soon that is thetime when Heaven GDs her strength andthe new world and all her majesty andher might her glory and her Grace willstep forward for the liberation of ourDying World that time is almost upon usso our work in Outpost centersInternational and at Red River thisministry here and all of the Ministriesthat we involved with here today ourwork is a work of profound importanceand we are not ashamed of the Gospel ofJesus Christ no matter what this worldmay say because the Apostle Paul said itis the power of God for salvation to allwho believe for the Jew first and alsofor the Greek so the time has come foryou and I to choose courage over fearFaith over doubt and boldness overtimidity we move forward with promisedthis was quoted this morning by uh bybrother Chris up here that there is nolimit to the usefulness of one whoputting self aside makes room for theworking of the Holy Spirit upon his orher heart and lives a life holyconsecrated to God that time has nowcome you might say that we were born inthis time that is true beyond that youmight say we were born into this timethat istrue but we were also born for this timeamen we weren't just born in this timeor into this time we were born for thistime God in his Providence could havemade you could you could have been bornin the Mayan empire or the Mongol Empireor the Zulu Empire or the Malian Empireor the Arab Empire or the Roman Empireor the Russian Empire no God in hiswisdom said in that final crisis I'mgoing to have a people who will standtall for me and in his Providence you weare those he has chosen for this time inEarth's history so therefore our notjust our primary loyalty our onlyloyalty is to the kingdom of God fromwhere we're expecting a savior the LordJesus Christ and we are to live by theprinciples of that Kingdom and not bythe values of all the Fallen kingdoms ofour world around us this is the time inwhich we live and you may say today ohPastor Vine I'm not sure I'm up forthis well over the last three years I'vecome to love not just the Prophet Danielbut the Prophet Jeremiah cuz if you wantto know about cancel cultlook at the ProphetJeremiah and when God called Jeremiah asa young man he said this before I formedyou in the womb I knew you before youwere born I consecrated you I appointedyou a prophet to the nation which meansthat Jeremiah was God's handywork andGod does not make mistakes hehandcrafted that young man for theministry in his time and we have beenborn into this time for this time we areknit together in our mother's womb bythe holy spirit that we might be a lighton a hill that cannot be hidden nomatter the darkness that gathers aroundus we are born for this time this isyour time this is ourtime there will be short-term pain but Ihath not seen nor hath ear heard norhave enter into the heart of man thethings that God has prepared for thosewho survived this time pardon theparaphrase God has prepared somethingwonderful for those who will stand tallin this timeyou were born in this time you were borninto this time you were born for thistime you were knit together in yourmother's womb you were consecrated youwere set apart you were gifted you wereanointed and you appointed to be God'sWitnesses in thistime it's a humbling thought isn'tit so we don't just come to camp meetingpraise the lord we have the freedom tohave campmeetings but we come to camp meeting sothat we can get a renewed vision of whatof what God wants to do through each oneof us whether you want to come and serveat Red River serve at an oci outpostserve with adven Frontier missions servewith brother Kanan and his wife downthere in Tennessee wherever God callsyou to serve don't Harden your heartstoday serve where he's leading you oh gowalk through the doors of opportunity toopen before you may not be rational maynot be logical may not make any sensebut nothing about Kingdom work ever doesthe only thing that matters is I'mtrusting the Lord to lead me throughthis door so if you find a Ministryopportunity during this camp meeting andgo looking for it ask connect withpeople not just you want to chitchat butyou're asking God to lead you to aMinistry opportunity spend the next 24hours asking the Holy Spirit Lord forthe rest of this camp meeting lead me toa Ministry opportunity where I can usethe gifts that you've givenme we were born for this time thesalvation of billions of people dependsupon God's people unashamedly standingto all for JesusChrist and in case you're wonderingabout whether this will be successful ornot on that sea of glass we read therewill be people from every nation tribelanguage and people which means if youwork among the Native Americans andnavajos or the Lota of north Montana ifyou work among the Hispanic immigrantcommunities of Lexington if you workamong the haian communities of Chicagoif you work among whatever Community youwork among there will be people fromthose communities on the sea of glass sothe promise is given there will be aneternal reward an eternal Harvest foryour ministry our role is to be faithfuland Shining for Jesus today come whatmay with no way the world is going toget a hold of us and we leave theresults in God'shands today we have five baptisms is itbrother Nan two baptisms okay twobaptisms you know baptism is a seriousmoment it's the new birth experiencewe're watching a miracle today takeplace but you may be sitting here todayand you realize that you were baptizedmany years ago and your life has driftedinto sin or you drifted away from Godand you want to recommit yourself todayto follow the lord Jesus Christ and toshine for him and if you are in thatposition I want to encourage you we havePastor here just raise your hand pastorand we have brother nalon and his teamhere and before we go down to thebaptism have a word with them have aprayer with them say I want to recommitmy life to the Lord Jesus Christ ifyou've never given your life to the LordJesus Christ let me give you a I'llfinish with a short story do I have timebrother Maron I know time is moving onhereH the shrug of a of a wearied resignedman oh brother brother brother it tookMoses 40 years to get to the promisedlandokay the first recorded martydom inChristian history was a guy calledpolycarp he's 86 years old he's thebishop of SMA just north of modern dayismir on the west coast of turkey uh theRoman soldiers come they arrest him theyput him before the Roman governor andthe Roman Governor says I if you want tosacrif I to the Statue and say Kaisercuos which means Caesar is Lord thenwe'll let you go and the Christianswould refuse because because Yus cuosJesus is Lord they wouldn't say Kaisercuos they'd say Yus cuos and so uh theRoman Governor said I'm going to executeyou and uh we're going to throw you tothe Lions and and this bureaucrat saidexcuse me you can't throw people's Lionsafter 3 p.m. quite literally he has tobe executed or beheaded um or burnt atthe Stak so that's what was going tohappen to him and polycarp he standsthere and this is the first ordedChristian martyrdom outside the Bibleand he stands for the Roman Governor youcan download this on Google it's calledthe martydom of polycarp p o l y c a RPand he says four score and six years Ihave served my king and he has done menowrong why should I now deny myking and we have may some of us may haveserved the Lord for four score and sixyears or it may feel likethat but when times of persecution comeswe're not going to deny our King becausenobody remembers the names of thegovernor or the soldiers but we know thename of that faithful witness to JesusChrist and I want my name to ring foreternity don't you so may my prayer andyour prayer be that four scor and sixyears we will serve our King he will dous no wrong and there is no way thatwe're going to deny him or lose ourfaith in him may that be our experiencemay that be our joy may that be ourprivilege and may that when May theworld see in us a manifestation of whatGod can do in the life of a sinner whoselife has been changed by the presence ofthe Holy Spirit I invite you to Bow yourheads with me we'll close with a prayerHeavenlyFather we are living in thetime not just any time not justsometime but we're living in thistime the time of the ends and father theend of time is almost uponus and father in your mercy and in yourgrace and in your wisdom you have seenfit that we should be born into thistime for thistime so todayFather may your spirit descend upon eachone of us in a powerfulway wash away the works of the Flesh andgive us a beautiful Harvest of the fruitof the spirit of love and joy and peaceand gentleness and generosity andself-control andkindness father the gifts that you havegiven us the talents to preach to teachto pray the gift of hospitality whateverthose gifts may be may they receive afull flowering in our lives from thisday forward give us opportunities toshine for you in this comingyear and father I pray that no matterwhat this world may do to us as theGloom of persecution gathers and asocial hatred gathers against those whoare faithful worshippers of the Lamb Ipray that each one of us will be foundfaithful and true that despite theattacks of
