Well, what a beautiful uh day we've had today. Yes. Uh yesterday my wife and I took the road to Hannah. And um [clears throat] today's Thursday. Yes.
After a while, it all kind of blurs. But on th Wednesday, we took the road to Hannah. What I did was I followed another car 10 feet behind for 600 bends. And my wife kept saying, "What a beautiful sight to the right." So I quickly glanced to get my eyes back on the road. And so I was in like tunnel mode, tunnel vision all the way there and all the way back.
We stopped at a few places. It really is stunningly beautiful. God has blessed you here in Hawaii with some lovely um natural environment. And uh on Tuesday I sat at home and wrote a sermon for a few weeks time uh because that's kind of what I do with my life. But it's just a real privilege to spend some time with you all.
And uh tonight uh we're going to talk about the topic is topic is called overcoming evil. And in our first night we saw from the prophecy of Daniel 2, the statue the head of s head of gold all the way down to the feet of iron and clay. We saw there that God is in control of history. God is bringing history to a climax. And if God is in control of the flow of history, we can ask God to be the Lord of our lives as well.
We can trust God with the direction of our lives. And last night on Monday night, we saw that there was war in heaven. Do any of you remember that there was war in heaven and Christ won there and there was war in the Garden of Eden and Satan triumphed over Adam and Eve, but God gave the promise of redeemer. And then when Jesus came, he didn't just came to um buy us back from slavery to sin. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.
I say amen to that. And so in [clears throat] on Monday nights, we saw that Jesus has never lost a battle with Satan. And I invited everybody here to say, "Well, maybe maybe I should ask Jesus to fight these battles for me." And tonight, we're going to talk about how we get involved in our own lives. I've called this overcoming evil. And um these are [clears throat] not theoretical concepts.
You know, in America today, we are a society drowning in the occult. We see it almost everywhere we go in society. Like entry- levelvel occultic activity is fortunetelling. Having your palm your fortunes told from your palm, maybe a tea leaf reader, uh maybe um having someone draw up some tarot cards for you, maybe visiting an astrologer to have them put together your horoscope. And then people take these horoscopes very seriously.
And uh then the next level up of occultic involvement is is where you're visiting a medium. You're they're channeling fallen spirits and you want to see your longlost grandma and they bring up a spirit who looks like your grandma. And then the highest level of satanic involvement in America today is what we call SRRA. That's satanic ritual abuse. And that is where that's among the social elites in society.
That's where you know the uh the top lawyers, the top surgeons, the top politicians, that's where they gather and uh a bit like um Jeffrey Epstein's Island, they engage in certain acts of abuse on infants. They often sacrifice those infants. They drink the blood and they do this as an act of worship to Lucifer. This is within our society today. So don't think [clears throat] that it's not going to touch you or your family.
It will one way or the other. In a sense, Christ [clears throat] and Satan are all fighting for me and for you. And the prize is eternal life. And I want eternal life. The older I get, the more I realize how short life really is, and I I get more and more concerned about eternal life.
o, invite you to bow your heads with me. Then we're going to discuss the question of overcoming evil. Shall we pray? Dear God in heaven, I [clears throat] thank you that you brought us safely thus far through this week. I thank you for the way your angels have watched over us all the days of our lives.
Father, we thank you for the many blessings we've experienced in life. But Lord, many of us come from homes where there's a story to tell. Father, we know what happens when evil knocks on our front door. Lord, we've all experienced loss. Some of us have lost parents.
Some have buried our children. Some of us have battled terrible diseases. Some of us have gone through financial catastrophes. Some of us have seen our marriages fall apart. Father, we know what evil feels like.
And tonight, Father, we're asking that you'll guide us and give us wisdom so that we can partner with our savior, Jesus Christ, and we can gain victory over these attacks of Satan in our own lives. So speak through me and for me, Father. This is my prayer in Jesus' name I ask. Amen. All right.
So, this is going to be our journey tonight. Uh we're going to first of all talk about how Satan attacks and then we're going to look at how we overcome Satan and then we're going to come to our conclusion. So, let's start out by saying how does Satan attack? Let me ask you the question. If you're a Christian, does that mean that Satan leaves you alone?
Yes or no? No. If you are if you bear the name of Christ, Satan has a target on your back. He wants to discourage you. He wants to dissuade you.
He wants to um uh cause you to separate from your faith in Christ. So the moment you say, "I bear the name of Christ, all the forces of Satan and his fallen angels, they're targeting you to cause you to lose your faith." So there are some examples in the Bible of when Satan attacked people. The most famous is the story of Job in the Old Testament. And Job was one of the wealthiest man in the Middle East. He had literally um thousands and thousands of various kinds of animals.
And Satan said to God in Job chapter 1, he said, "Job only worships you because you protect him." And God said, "Well," he said, "Well, we'll put Job to the test, shall we?" And he gave Satan permitt to attack Sa um Job and his possessions, but God put a strict limit beyond which Satan could not go. And so Satan attacked Job's property. All his animals died. His his businesses fell apart. His 10 children died.
Even his wife turned against him, it seems. And finally, and God gave permission to uh Satan to put boils all over Job's body, but he was not allowed to kill Job. And this is what we call harassment. Harassment is where um Satan or his demons are just attacking you and attacking you and attacking you to cause you to lose faith. But in the story of Job, we see there is a point beyond which God will not allow evil to pass in your family.
That's good news. That's very good news. Then you have the story of the Apostle Paul, maybe the greatest of the apostles to ever live. And uh we think of Paul as a brilliant scholar. We read his writings in the New Testament.
You know, the thing about the Apostle Paul was the church of Corinth. They say, well, they said Paul writes these incredible letters, but he's a really puny pre preacher. He can barely speak in front of the audience. And that's how they spoke about the Apostle Paul. But the Apostle Paul um he had incredible revelations from God.
Um before he became a Christian, he was a Pharisee and he was an he was uh involved in an ecstatic version of Judaism where they tried to get him into the presence of God. And that the Jews believe there are seven levels of heaven and there's a angels guarding gates at each levels each of the seven levels. Marava Marava mysticism marava means battle tank. The Israeli main battle tank today is called the marava. It's after that that that fiery chariot that goes to heaven like Elijah.
And so Paul he went into the third heaven. And uh but in the middle of his ministry Paul realized that he was under attack. And he says this in 2 Corinthians 12 and:e 7. He says, "Even considering the exceptional character of the revelations, therefore to keep me from being too elated or proud, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger, the word is angalos or angel of Satan to torment me to keep me from being too elated or proud." Now Paul had a world-class education and he was a world-class thinker and a world-class theologian and he could outar argue anybody on Judaism or Christianity. But the problem was he was always tempted to minister in his own strength.
And so God allows in this passage here God allowed and Paul to have a thorn in the flesh. And people say well what was this thorn in the flesh? Did he have bad eyesight? That's one of the theories because Paul had a secretary write out his letters for him and he would write his greetings at the end of the letter. He says in my own hand.
So we know that he had bad eyesight. But the text actually tells us what this thorn in the flesh was that the phrase there is an angalos to satinu that is an angel of Satan. So God allowed an angel of Satan to torment Saul. Why? Because Saul would be daily dependent upon God for ministry.
We don't think of Saul in those ways. But God allowed a messenger of Satan or an angel of Satan to torment Saul so that Paul would depend upon the grace and the power of God for his ministry rather than minister in the strength of his own brilliance. Then you have the apostle Peter in Matthew chapter 16. Jesus is telling the disciples that he has to go to Jerusalem. has to be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes and the Pharisees and they're going to hand him over to the Romans and he's going to be executed and then he's going to rise again and Peter takes Jesus to one side and it says Peter rebuked Jesus and he says Lord this is not going to happen to you and Peter probably didn't want Jesus to die because Peter wanted to be the prime minister in the new kingdom that Jesus was establishing and g Peter had no need for a dead Jesus he needed a living Jesus if he was to become the prime minister and he rebuked Jesus And the verb to rebuke epimeato in the Greek that's used whenever Jesus is speaking to spirits, fallen spirits.
So when it says when Peter rebuked Jesus, it's implying that Peter thought Jesus was operating under some kind of satanic influence. And Jesus turns around and he says to Peter, he says, "Get behind me who? Satan. You are a stumbling block to me for you're setting your mind not on divine things but on human things." So Peter was not possessed but he was directly contradicting a plain teaching of Jesus. And when a disciple of Jesus plainly contradicts a pl contradicts the plain teachings of Jesus, they're allowing Satan to work through them in that moment.
They're not possessed. They're not being harassed, but they've yielded control of their mind to Satan in that moment. So when Jesus said to Peter, "Get thee behind me." He doesn't say Peter, he says, "Get thee behind me, Satan. you are a stumbling block to me. And then you have the other example in the New Testament, Judas.
And Judas was the conference treasurer. He was a man who was trusted. We know he was good with finance because Matthew, one of the 12 disciples, was a tax collector. And so logically, Matthew should have been the treasurer for the disciples, but Judas was the treasurer. And we know he was really good at being a treasurer because in John 13, we realize that Judas was stealing from the common purse.
And none of the disciples picked up on that in three and a half years. So he was really good at embezzlement. He was very good at covering his tracks. And uh when Jesus uh well the first time we encountered Judas's scariot is in John 6. And Jesus speaks to the 12 and he says that he says there did I not choose you the 12 yet one of you is a the word in Greek is diabolos.
We get the word diabolical from that. One of you is or in one of you is a devil. Now, in John chapter 13, when Judas decides to go out and betray Jesus, it says that Satan entered into him. And but so Judas, nobody knew he had a demon, but Jesus knew he had a demon. Jesus never failed to cast a demon out of somebody um if they asked him for help.
But Judas never asked Jesus for help. And so Jesus never set him free. There is an important learning point here. um for you know deliverance ministry in casting out demons which are real which is this Jesus never forces somebody uh into this kind of process somebody has to ask Jesus to set them free before Jesus does set them free and uh you know we we may think well past divine line this is the 21st century aren't we beyond demons these days no we're not demons are very very real uh we talk about the reality that Some families have what is known as an ancestral spirit. And somebody at some stage in the past has has made a deal with the devil.
They've been involved with the occult. Maybe there your grandmother was a medium. And when your grandmother dies, um that the the deal she made was that her bloodline would belong to Satan if in her generation she got knowledge and power without moral accountability for how she used it. And so when the grandmother dies, suddenly the teenage granddaughter starts cutting herself. And everybody says, "Why is she suddenly cutting herself?" Well, she's cutting herself because there's this existential pain of a demon now attacking her and she can't express it.
And the ER doesn't know how to process this cuz they don't believe in demons in the ER. At least most doctors and nurses don't. And so, but the reality is this girl has an ancestral spirit and it's attached itself to her through no fault of her own. And you find this in many African cultures. You find it in in Haiti.
You find it in the Caribbean. You find it all across Southeast Asia and increasingly we're finding it in America because Western secular Americans are playing with the occult and they don't realize the effect it's going to have on their children and their grandchildren and the succeeding generations. So there are three kinds of demonization we see in the Bible. There's harassment and almost every Christian experiences harassment of some kind. Um [clears throat] somebody says, "I want to study the Bible." Fair enough.
We'll come by your house every Tuesday at 6:30. And the first week you get a text that says, "My dog died at 6:00." Okay, I'll come next Tuesday. Next Tuesday at 6:00, you get a text saying, "My dog's at the vet." You think, "I thought it just died last week." "Oh, it's a new dog. I'm sorry." The third week, you get a text that says, "The dog ate my homework. I have to redo it." And the fourth week, you get a text that says, "My car's in the shop.
I've had an accident. Don't come by this week." And you realize that all these bad events are happening on Tuesday afternoon to this family just before they have to do a Bible study that wants to do a Bible study. And so you realize that Satan's running interference. Then you have oppression. That's where you where you yield control of your mind to Satan often because you have an a particular cherished sin.
The most common cherished sin these days that lead to oppression is pornography. And then the third is possession. And you do see some Christians with possession. They're often Christians who've been in the mission field. Um, but it's often people who've become Christians in their previous life was heavily involved in the occult.
And so, how then do we overcome Satan? It's an interesting question. How do we overcome Satan? Well, the first thing is we pray for deliverance from the evil one. And to look at to learn this, we go to the Lord's Prayer in Matthew chapter 6, which says, "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from what?
Evil." But that's not what the text says. You know, the King James says, "And deliver us from evil." That's not what Jesus says. Uh the phrase in the Greek is apoto, which means from the evil one. Now Jesus is not saying pray for deliver me from evil. That is don't give me I want a nice day for my wedding.
I don't want any storms. That's what that's not what Jesus is teaching us here. Jesus is not teaching us deliver me from evil. That means I don't want a big tax bill this April 15. That's not what he's talking about.
The phrase from evil, the best translation is from the evil one. So Jesus taught us in the Lord's prayer to pray to our heavenly father and deliver us from the evil one. And how often are we to pray the Lord's prayer? Well, on a daily basis. Why would I say that?
Because the Lord's prayer says, "Give us this day our daily bread." So if you want to eat today, you ask God for your daily bread. And in the middle of that Lord's prayer, you also ask your heavenly father. Our father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. etc. There's that phrase and deliver me from the evil one.
When Jesus taught this to us, what he's saying is you are under daily attack from Satan. And your only way to avoid this or to gain victory in this is if you ask your heavenly father to deliver you from the attacks of Satan. So I want to encourage you today. [clears throat] You know many Christians don't don't pray the Lord's prayer very much but the Lord's prayer is the most profound prayer you found in script in scripture. I want to encourage you every day morning or evening to pray the Lord's prayer and to start asking yourself what does it mean for instance thy will be done.
Let me ask you do you have any control over what anybody else does in this world? No. So when you say thy will be done, the only area where I have control is my own life. So thy will be done means may your will be supreme in my life rather than my own fallen will. I'm going to follow your will this day, father, rather than what I want to do.
So how do we cooperate with God in this gaining victory over Satan? Well, in Acts chapter 19, you read a story there, and this is where um Paul is preaching in Ephesus, western Turkey, and it says there in red, the first red bit. It says, "Also, many of those who became believers confessed and disclosed their practices. A number of those who practiced magic collected their books and burnt them publicly. When the value of those books was calculated, it was found to come to 50,000 silver coins.
So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed. So 50,000 silver coins is about 150 years wages for a day labor in those in those days. That's a lot of money. Think how much you earn on a daily basis. Multiply that by 150 years.
That's kind of the value of the books that were burnt. In those days, you couldn't just order something on Amazon. It would come. These books were copied out by hand on papyrus. They were very very valuable.
And the biggest building in Ephesus is still there to this day in ancient Ephesus. There's the the facade of the single largest building in ancient Ephesus where the story took place. And that building was the library. It was the biggest building in town. So there was a monster library in Ephesus.
And when those people heard the gospel, rather than taking all those books or the rolls, papyrie scrolls to the library of Ephesus, I'm sure they'd have been delighted to receive that donation. They could have given it to the library of Ephesus, but no, they burnt those books. They wanted nothing more to do with them. What does this mean for us today? [clears throat] It means that if you ask God to set you free from Satan's attacks, you have to close those doorways where Satan can enter your life.
If you have rats behind your house, the chances are it's cuz you've got garbage behind your house. If you want to get rid of the gap, the rats, you don't shoot rats every night. You clear the garbage away. If you get rid of the garbage, the rats don't come back anymore. Does that make sense?
And so when we ask God to deliver us from the evil one, we cooperate with God by getting rid of the garbage. That's shutting the open doorways to Satan in our life. These people in Ephesus, they didn't hand those books over to the library of Ephesus. They burnt those books. How do we shut those doorways to Satan and attacks in our lives?
Well, it means we get rid of anything in our life that we cannot give as a holy offering to a holy God. I would say at least a third of the people here tonight or watching porn on a regular basis. Statistically, it's probably 50 to 70%. Well, that's me generous, maybe 30%. And um you people start out with erotic then softcore then hardcore then violent then they call pedosexual which is the rape and killer of children and they keep going more and more extreme in order to get the same dopamine hits and then like Ted Bundy you say I no longer want to watch this I need to actually do it myself.
The jumping off space and that leads to the to the to the uh terrible treatments of women and children in our society. There is a clear progression here. And I work with a lot of people, lame men in particular, who are basically addicted to porn and they're desperate to get rid of it, but it has this control over their lives and it's destroying their marriages and it's destroying their children and their children's bodies and they don't know how to get out of it. They they say it's compulsive behavior. It's addictive behavior.
They say things like, "I don't know what came over me. I can't stop it. I find myself doing it. I hate it with myself when I'm doing it. All these expressions keep coming back at you.
But we cooperate with God by closing those avenues to Satan in our lives. Ask yourself this. Or let's let's just put it this way. Jesus came to die to save us from the very things we turn into entertainment in the West. and the garbage we put into our minds and the moral filth we put into our minds, the extreme violence, the dark movies and the horror films, uh the thrash metal, the death metal music and all the rest of it.
We are we are shaping our minds so they are in tune with the mind of Satan rather than with the mind of God. So, I want to encourage you tonight to do as the Ephesians did, which is to get rid of anything in your life that has any connection with Satan. Any tarot cards in the basement, any Ouija board sitting in a box in the in the in the garage, did you go to Haiti for a holiday and come back with a wooden face mask? Those wooden face masks have often been devoted to a spirit. You find that in West Africa.
And when you bring that into your home, you're bringing a fallen spirit into your home. You're giving it permission to be in your home. and uh that spirit will will rake havoc on your on your family. So um I I've worked with people and I say to them, you know, there was one girl, she was at Andrews University, she was a seminary student and she was having these terrible nighttime attacks where something was strangling her throat every night and she knew it was a spirit and she didn't know what to do about it. So I we had a phone call and I said, "Did you ever play with the occult in your youth?" And she said, "Yes." She says, "I've got an Ouija board." And where's the Ouija board?
Oh, that's at home in Pennsylvania. I said, 'You need to go and destroy that Ouija board.' She said, 'Well, it's it's um spring break coming up. I'll drive home. I said, 'How long will it take you to get from Michigan to Pennsylvania?' She said, "One day." It took her 4 days to get from Michigan to Pennsylvania. Everything that could go wrong went wrong on that trip.
Blown tires, road accidents, going into the ditch, credit cards getting stolen. It was like somebody didn't want her to get back to her home in Pennsylvania. And when she finally got back to her home in Pennsylvania, uh she said, "What do I do?" I said, "Take out that Ouija board, put it in your backyard, pour gasoline on it, and burn it." And she did. And guess what? Those nighttime strangulation attacks ceased immediately.
She'd close the doorway to Satan. So, I want you to uh invite you to sit and ask yourself, is there any part anything in my life, in my home, that has any connection with the powers of darkness? And if there is, I'm going to go home tonight and I'm going to remove them physically from my house. I want them no more in my life. It could be gemstones from your grandma.
It could be in a Ouija board. It could be violent movies. Uh I some sometimes people say, "Walk through my house, pastor, and tell me what I need to get rid of." And you literally look in every single drawer and every single cupboard. And then the most the thing that people never want you to see is the search history on their in on their browsers. Because your viewing history on your browser tells you more about somebody than anything else.
And when you say, "Let me see the browsing history." You say, "No, pastor. Did you ask me to come here or not?" "Yes." "Well, let's take a look at the browsing history." That's when you see stuff that is borderline illegal, not just immoral. And say, "That's your problem, brother. We need to take care of this in your life." So, the second thing we do is we put on the armor of God. Paul [clears throat] says in Ephesians 6, he says, "Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." You know, it's it's tempting in America to get caught up in the political battles that go back and forth, Republican or Democrat.
There's the Maui Council elections coming up. I've been driving around, there's some guy, Bobby something running for election, and there's a bunch of other names out there. I mean, I've been watching these ads as I drive around. Um, [clears throat] it's easy to get caught up in the politics of where we live, but the Apostle Paul says that our battle is not against flesh and blood. It's against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
And so, because the battles we face are primarily spiritual against spiritual beings, then we have to put on the armor of God. Four weeks ago, I was in Slovenia, an a country just south of Austria and east of Italy. I did an evangelistic series there. And when it was over, I went to the hotel owned by a very famous national figure. And um he had a lot of influence in that country and he wanted to talk with us about what we've been preaching about.
And uh he said I said, "Well, this is a beautiful hotel. It's on a lake." I said, "Tell me about the hotel." He said, "Well," he said, "we asked the local shamans." Shamans are spiritual workers who see spirits. You see those in West Africa in particular. These are witch doctors. They said, "We asked the local shamans for the be best place and they said there's a lot of energy lines meet in this lake." So, we built a hotel by this lake.
And then this guy says to me, he's a national politician that country says, "And the shamans tell me that there's unseen unseen beings all around this property, but I'm not to worry because they're good beings." Now, this is a secular European guy and a national figure in his country with a multi-million dollar hotel and business there. And he's telling me just unashamedly, I've visited the shamans and the shamans tell me there are unseen beings all around this house. And then he said, and what do you do for a living, Pastor Vine? I said, well, we just co-authored a book on deliverance ministry and getting rid of demons. And he kind of went a bit silent.
I said, "You know, these unseen beings that the shamans are seeing and telling about, those are fallen angels, and they're going to destroy this hotel and the people who come here. You should not be celebrating the fact that there are demons around this property." I said, "This is a cursed place." Well, he said, "Well, send me the book." I sent him the book. He said, "I'll promise I'll read through and I haven't heard back from him, but that's a month ago." But the apostle Paul says, put on the armor of God so that you can stand against the ws of the devil. And so it says, therefore, take up the whole armor of God so that you may be able to able to withstand that evil day and having done everything to stand firm. Stand therefore and so so far in this passage, three times the Apostle Paul has said stand.
So some people say you've got to go out looking for demons. But when you put on the armor of God three times, we have the command to stand. And if you're in the infantry and you're told to stand still, are you in an offensive posture or a defensive posture? Defensive. You're not going out looking for demons.
But if demons come knocking on your door, you can stand firm in the armor of God. You're not going to run away. So we don't go looking for demons in the 21st century. But when Satan comes knocking on your door, we need to know that we should not be afraid. We have nothing to fear.
If God be for us, who can be against us? Christ has never lost a battle with demons. And if Jesus is fighting our battles for us, we have nothing to be afraid of. And so what is this armor of God? He says, "Therefore, fasten the belt of truth around your waist.
Put on the breastplate of righteousness as shoes for your feet. Put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. Take the shield of faith with which you'll be able to clench quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. So if you were to have a pictorial depiction of the armor of God, there it is.
It's kind of like a a medieval knight uh clothed in his armor. He has the sh the shield of faith and the breastplate of righteousness and the belt of truth. And on his feet he's he's shaw with shoes ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. And on his head he has the helmet of salvation. And the only offensive weapon he has is the sword of the spirit.
So what does this armor of God actually mean? Well, the first thing that he mentions is put on um the belt of truth. Is everybody here wearing a belt? No. [clears throat] All right.
So, I wear a belt every day. Other except when I'm walking down by the beach. I wear a belt every day because you hang keys on it. Sometimes you put a flashlight on it. Sometimes you put one of those multi-tools on it.
You put your cell phone on it. Um, the belt holds everything together. When you're young, the belt goes around your waist. When you get older, the belt goes under your waist. All right?
[clears throat] Those of you who are laughing, that's a guilty laugh. You should have listened to Brother Ernie with his talk a few minutes ago. But as we get older, the belt goes under our waist rather than around our waist. And you know you're making progress if your belt goes around rather than under. But the belt is called the belt of truth.
You see, for soldiers, um, everything is connected to the belt to keep your equipment in place. For a soldier, having the right tools in the right place at the right time is a matter of life and death. But the loins also represent the areas of reproduction, the most intimate areas between a man and a woman, the most intimate human relationships. And in old biblical times, if men wanted to sign a deal, they wouldn't shake hands, but they grasp each other on the inner thigh down here. It was a very intimate act, but it was a sign that we're now in agreement on something.
And this is the belt of truth. And um the belt of truth is necessary because um every relationship depends on how truthful you are in that relationship. If you go to the doctor and you got a problem with your right shoulder and you start complaining about a ringing in your left ear, are you going to get the right diagnosis? Well, my doctor's like a hawk. I go in, I do my Google research, I figured out what I think the problem is, and she gets to the same the same diagnosis within like 30 seconds.
I'm just amazed how brilliant my doctor is. Sometimes I give her a few, you know, little red herrings to go this way, that way. But she always zones in and she asks questions something. Now, why is she asking this question? And um what I realized over my years with a doctor is that if you want the right diagnosis and the right treatment plan or you want to be healed, you've got to be truthful about your symptoms.
And in a relationship, if you have a husband and wife having problems together, the only way they can start to fix those problems is the starting point for the road to redemption is if they're honest about what's actually happening in that marriage. If there is no truthfulness, there can be no healing. And if I go to a psychologist cuz I'm suffering from depression and I and I start talking about maybe extreme anxiety, um it's not going to help the diagnosis process for the psychologist. There has to be truthfulness in order for there to be healing in relationships. All of our relationships hang on the extent of how much truthfulness there is in relationship.
Now, sometimes you don't want to be exactly too truthful. Does this dress make me look good? Sometimes you're not quite sure how to answer that question. Um uh sometimes sometimes my wife says, "Did you like that food?" And what I say is, "That food was really nice and what you prepared yesterday was really good." Then my wife knows that all right there's a pecking order for the food here and maybe I won't get that fed again unless I've been a naughty boy. So [clears throat] anyway, but without truth relationships fade and with truth relationships can heal.
Jesus said this, "Sanctify them through thy truth. Thy word is truth." So when we face a personal crisis, when we're overwhelmed by negative emotions or fallen desires, we're invited to turn to the word of God for guidance because everything that is pure and worthy of good repute and noble and beautiful is found in the word of God. But then you come to the breastplate of righteousness. And the breastplate of righteousness is an interesting concept. The breastplate covers the chest.
And the two vital organs of the chest are the heart and the lungs. Now, sometimes I go out deer hunting. When you hunt deer, what are the two organs you want to hit? The heart or the lungs? Not the head.
The heart or the lungs? Cuz that's a guaranteed kill shot. They'll run away 50 yards, but then they'll drop dead. You aim for the head, you're probably going to miss with a shotgun. You aim for the chest, the front lower part of the chest, you get the heart of the lungs.
That deer is dead. And the breastplate of righteousness covers our heart and our lungs. And why is this so important for us? Well, the heart is the center of our response to God. Ephesians 6:6 says this, that we do the will of God from the heart.
And Psalm 51:10 recognizes the importance of having a clean heart and a new and a right spirit. The psalmist says this, "Create me a clean heart, oh God, and puts a new and a right spirit within me." So all the issues of life spring from the heart which is the center of our relationship with God and with others. But the other major organ in our chest cavity is our lungs. And the other center of breathing and prayer is the breath of the soul. So if we are to be if we are to stand firm against the attacks of Satan, not only do we want a clean heart, but we need to have a regular prayer life.
Deliver us from the evil one. Some some people here maybe you don't have a regular prayer life. I want to tell you this. God knows the motions of your heart before you talk to him in prayer. You can't say one thing to God in prayer and assume he doesn't understand what's really going on inside.
And the Holy Spirit takes your words anyway and translate them for our heavenly father. So I want to encourage you to talk to God as to a friend just to be open with him. Just be honest with him. There is no set formula for prayer other than talking with God as with a friend. And when we have the breastplate of righteousness, we're protecting our lungs among other things.
Is because we want to protect our living connection with our heavenly father. When we pray, we learn to listen to God's voice coming back to us as well. Then you talk about the shoes of peace. Now for soldiers, footwear is a really big deal. If you're going to walk long distances and you're going to walk through damp areas or watery areas, you need good you need good footwear.
Um, you know, in the British Army in World War I, the most prized possession among the soldiers in the trenches was dry socks. Everybody wanted dry socks cuz when you're standing in two feet of water in the trenches for months at a time, you get trench foot and you're out of action before you know it. And it's hard to recover from that. And so the shoes of peace are very shoes are very important for soldiers. The book of Isaiah says this, "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger who announces peace, who brings good news, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, your God reigns." And so feet represent our service to God.
It represents us sharing our faith as we walk the pathways of life. And God's peace provides a buffer between thus us and those who can injure us. Isaiah :3 says, "Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace in peace because they trust in you." You know, uh 2014, I was in northern Iraq. ISIS had just conquered northern Syria. They'd conquered Mosul.
They'd killed most of the Christian men. The women had fled to Urbal in Iraqi Kurdistan. And I happened to be in Iraqi Kurdistan at that time. I arrived with a fellow pastor and the streets were filled with Christian refugees. Women were giving birth on the roads.
the roads. It was like 50 Celsius temperature out there. The roads, the tarmac was soft. When you walked on the roads, you left a footprint behind you. And um my friend said, "What are we going to do?" I said, "We're going to pray.
We don't have armed guards. There's no American military out here just yet. We're going to pray that we don't appear on CNN in an orange jumpsuit." And you know what that means? Means ISIS has got you and they're going to take your head off. And so we knelt down and we prayed.
We claimed the promise of Psalm 374 34:7. The angel of the Lord watches round about him that fear him and deliverth them. And we went to sleep and we had a wonderful night's sleep that night. The Bible talks about those of steadfast minds you keep in peace. In peace because they trust in you.
Just this morning, um, somebody wrote me this letter about the peace they found with God. I'm not saying who this person is or where they are, but it's not in Hawaii. So, this email came to me this morning. It says, "Then about 10 years ago, something shifted. I was walking in nature.
This is my time to talk to God. I took this time to repent for some past sins that have followed me and I could not put behind me. No matter what I did, they followed me like a shadow. After I was done and honestly asked God for forgiveness, a weight was lifted. I felt freed for the first time.
The feeling is still here today. The feeling is still here today. At first, I was afraid to talk about it. I feared the weight might return. It did not.
I'm so grateful and humbled by the experience. This can only be done by an allloving and understanding God our father. It's a beautiful testimony just came today and I' I'd shared with this person that you know if you confess your sins to God and claim the promises of forgiveness, God will forgive you and lift those burdens of guilt from your from your back that you're carrying throughout your life. Um this individual did actually do that and wrote to me after 10 days God has taken the burden of guilt and shame from their past off their back and they now know they are forgiven by God. And when we experience forgiveness, we experience the pass of the peace of God that passeth all human understanding.
And when we are forgiven by God, it's harder for Satan to attack us by throwing our past in our faces. Then you have the shield of faith. The shield protects us from arrows and swords and spears and slingshot. Satan sometimes attacks you directly. He generally attacks you indirectly.
Satan tends to stand a far off and he shoots his fiery arrows at you and you wonder where they came from. Those arrows can be fear or doubt, rejection, wounding words, people spreading lies about you on the internet, false guilt, depression, sickness, accidents and bodily injury, divorce, disease, drugs, dep despair, anything that can wound us and disable us in the battles of life. And the first time the word shield appears in the Bible is in Genesis 15 where Abraham has just rescued his nephew Lot from being kidnapped by some northern kings in modernday Syria. And it says there after these things the word of the Lord came to Abraham in a vision saying fear not Abraham I am your shield and your exceeding great reward. So how does this shield of faith work?
But when Satan attacks us, he attacks us in the material world in ways that humans understand. But the shield of faith means that we don't look at that situation through the eyes of men. We look at those that situation through the eyes of God. We look at that situation through the eyes of the God for whom all things are possible. For whom Satan is already a defeated enemy.
Faith looks at reality through the eyes of God, not that of h hurting men and hurting women. And so faith shifts to faith allows us to meet those fiery arrows of Satan by saying, "What does God say about the matter?" And then we can leave the matter in God's hand. You then have the helmets of salvation. The most effective way to kill somebody is to hit them in the head. When you go fishing, what do you do to a fish when you put it in the boat?
You hit it on the head. In England, we say that you priest the fish because priests would touch children on their heads like this. So you pay take a wooden um piece of stick and you you whack that fish on the head and the fish is done. And so that's the quickest way to kill a fish. And so we have to protect the head with the helmet of salvation.
And why do we protect our heads? Because your mind defines who you are. It's the center of your personality, your memories, your character. All that is good and bad in your life is stored in your head. You know, when you get married, you don't marry a body, you marry a mind.
So, I'm just saying this all young people here, don't fall in love with a body, fall in love with the mind. Because bodies get bigger and bodies get smaller. And bodies have bits chopped off and they have bits added into them. All right? And by the time they're 50 or 60, don't look so good.
Some of you are smiling. What you marry is a mind. You want a meeting of minds when you marry. You want someone who is intellectually and spiritually compatible with you because the bodies are going to change through life. But what matters is the union of minds when you get married.
And so we are to wear the helmet of salvation on our heads because the the decisions we make in our heads determine our eternal destiny. So the mind must be protected from the enemy that is salvation. And what does the word salvation mean? The word salvation um the Greek word verb soo it either means to save or to heal. It has two meanings.
When Jesus says to the woman um with with the issue of blood he says go in peace your faith has saved you. That can also be translated go in peace your faith has healed you. So in the eyes of of the New Testament, in the eyes of Jesus, physical healing and spiritual salvation are the one in the same concept that physical healing is to go alongside spiritual healing. And so the helmet of salvation is necessary because until our minds and our thoughts are healed, it's our broken minds and our destructive habits that ruin our lives and give doorway doorways for Satan to enter our lives. uh 2 Corinthians 4 and verse4 talks about how Satan has says in this in their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers.
And so there's a battle for our minds going on every single day. Your mind is a battleground. Satan wants to control it and God wants to give you his Holy Spirit to guide you in how you think in ways that will lead to human flourishing. The Apostle Paul says, "For the weapons of our warfare are not merely human, but they have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God.
And we take every thought captive to obey Christ." And how does this happen? The Apostle Paul goes on to say, 'd do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that we may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. That word renewing is metamorphosis. It means that when you become a Christian, God wants to so change your mind that there's no hint of what there was before. Just as a caterpillar turns into a butterfly and if you didn't know that a butterfly was once a caterpillar, you wouldn't believe it if somebody told you.
But a a caterpillar metamorphosis is metamorphosis into a butterfly. And this verse here says that we are not to be conformed to this world. is we are not to allow the world to shape our thinking in fallen patterns of thinking in selfish patterns of thinking and self-destructive patterns of thinking but we are to allow God to renew our mind to to give us a metamorphosis in our minds so that we are transformed so now we reflect the will of God rather than the negativity of Satan in our lives and God does this when we invite the Holy Spirit each morning to fill our minds and to change us day by day. Then you have the sword of the spirit, the last item of the armor of God. It's the only offensive weapon in all the armor that we find here in the Bible.
A sword is not a standoff weapon like a spear or a sling or a bow and arrow. It's a personal weapon used for one-on-one combat. Now, let me tell you this. Having a sword turns a non-warrior into a warrior. And even if you have all the other armor of God, but you don't have the sword of the spirit, you are still a non-warrior, you're not going to survive when Satan attacks you or your family.
So what is um the sword of the spirit or the word of God? Well, Jesus is the word of God, but uh for the purposes of this discussion, the Bible is also the word of God. And in this world, the only thing in that I know of that is 100% true is the word of God because I'm a fallen human being. Nothing can can come out of my lips that is 100% absolutely true unless it is the word of God. That's the only thing in our lives that we know is 100% true.
And every dis every temptation or attack of Satan is based on a lie. If you do this, it will somehow be good for you. And the way that you respond to lies is not with power, but with truth. Truth is the antidote to error. And so when Jesus was tempted by Satan, Jesus modeled this for us.
Says, "The tempter came and said to him, if you are the son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread." But he answered, "It is written, one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." Jesus modeled for us how we respond when Satan attacks us. And we respond to Satan's attacks by quoting the word of God, saying it out loud. The word, [clears throat] the sword of the spirit is the word of God. The word for word in Greek is logos. In the beginning was the logos.
The word the word was with God. The logos was with God. And the logos was God. The word was God. Logos is the most famous word in the New Testament.
But that's not the word that Paul uses here about the sword of the spirit is the word of God. He uses the word rama. Rama means the spoken utterance of the word means you speak the word of God. And you speak the word of God if you've memorized it. You've hidden it in your heart.
So sometimes people wake up at night and there's a pressure on their chest and it's their hands around their throat. Sometimes they experience like a sexual assault at night and it's a demonic presence. There's a dark presence over them and they say what do I do pastor? They said uh well the best thing to do is just say the name of Jesus slowly say it loud and loud and louder and as you say the name of Jesus that that pressure will leave you and it will be gone and then if you have if you if it's not doing that but you can actually say something you say the Lord rebuke thee Satan in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I rebuke thee and then you you quote something from scripture and what do you quote from scripture? Well, [clears throat] Satan puts lies in everybody's minds.
Every time I step here, I get this boom coming back at me. Maybe it's the amplifiers here. Satan puts lies in everybody's minds. Lies such as, "You're not good enough. God could never forgive you.
You're beyond the reach of God's mercy. Um uh look how look at the condition of your life. And God God doesn't care about you. Each one of us knows what those lies are. And I want to encourage you tonight to ask yourself, what are those lies?
And then find for for the top three lies that Satan tells you and find three promises in scripture that directly refute those lies and memorize those. Put them on your laptop. Put them on your fridge with a magnet. Put them beside your car dashboard. And when Satan puts those lies into your mind, you say out loud, "The Lord rebuke thee, Satan.
It is written." And then you recite that promise from God. And literally what happens is you're creating a new neural pathway. Satan puts a lie in your mind and it goes to a negative emotion like discouragement or fear or anger or bitterness. And now when Satan puts that lie in your mind, it's met with the truth of the word of God. You've fortified your mind.
And rather than that that that lie of Satan going to a negative emotional place in your life and you feeling down or bad about things now that lie from Satan is met with the word of God and literally bounces out. You've created a new neural pathway. And rather than that lie leading to anger or fear or bitterness, now that lie is leading to a greater trust in God on your part. And so on the screen there, these are some some cards I put together with some colleagues. These are simple promises from the Bible that God is these things and this I am certain other things.
And we put these these promises together because we we said to people what are the most common lies that Satan tells you in your life. And then we we put together the Bible promises that refute those lies. And um if you want later I can come and speak to me. I can give you send you these by email. And when people are asking u for deliverance from Satan, we take people through like a a multi-step process.
We here I have it up on the screen here of rebuking Satan and confessing sin and forgiving those who've hurt us and repudiating Satan and his works and so forth. And um it's a very effective way to remove the attacks of Satan out of somebody's life. Brothers and sisters, this is absolutely real. It's not something to be played with. [clears throat] And you say, "Well, does this really happen in the 21st century?" Let me ask you, when Ronald Reagan was making decisions of when to bomb Libya, what important tool did he use to make those decisions?
Well, Nancy Reagan was getting horoscopes drawn up, literally, and Nancy Reagan was telling him, "Because the stars are in alignment next Tuesday, you should bomb Libya next Tuesday." And so this kind of astrology was guiding American military policy in the time of Ronald Reagan, um, this stuff is very real. And if you want to know, do our social elites get involved in this? I say, well, what happened with Jeffrey Epstein? What was happening with those children? What was happening with those rituals on those islands?
They weren't playing around. This was the worship of Lucifer by our social elites in America. They're gaining power and knowledge without moral accountability. And the last thing you want is for Satan to be attacking you and not know how to get rid of these attacks. The third and final thing I think our time is up.
I don't have a clock here, but I sense my time is up here. Is we fast and we pray placing our problems in God's hands. Jesus spoke about casting out demons. He says, "This kind of demon does not come out except by prayer and fasting." [clears throat] Why do prayer and fasting go together? Well, the average person spends about two hours a day preparing food, eating food, cleaning up after food.
Yes, maybe more than two hours. I spend 10 minutes eating food and no time preparing food. There's a painful story in my family. I chopped off my big nail. My wife asked for some soup.
I chopped off the big nail in the grater with a flesh and I decided not to tell my wife about it. I put some um beetroot in there. I juice it up. And for my sins, I've never been allowed to prepare food ever again. [clears throat] I won't re I won't recommend it.
But um one of the struggles I have in life is I'm not allowed to prepare food in the kitchen. It's a very painful burden I have to bear. But Jesus said prayer and fasting go together. Why do prayer and fasting go together? For a number of reasons.
Number one, if you if you do not eat food tomorrow, you will create at least two hours free in the day when you can pray. Just like that. No food preparation, no eating, no feeling drowsy afterwards. If you fast, if you fast, you've got time to pray. You take a lunch break at work.
Now, it's called a prayer break. Okay? So, fasting and prayer go together um like a hand goes into gloves. Secondly, when you fast for 24 hours, you feel irritable. You fast for 48 hours, you start to stink because you're detoxing and your urine stinks.
You fast for 72 hours and it's like you're taking off from the airport and after 72 hours you get through the low hanging clouds and the turbulence and you're in the clear blue sky and from days 4 to 15 and I've done this you your mind is incredibly sharp. It's sharper than you've ever had before your mind. Now I'm not you know you may have uh blood sugar problems. You may be diabetic. You may have hypoglycemia.
I'm not recommending this in those cases, but if you have physically good health, praying and fasting for seven days or 10 days or 15 days, you have immense um clarity. Your mind is like a sharp knife. You're physically weak, but your mind is is so sharp and you you your gifts of perception and discernment are are greatly enhanced. And so when you're casting out demons, you pray and fast for three or four days, your ability to discern, is this mental health a health problem? Is it a demon?
is is is greatly enhanced by the act of praying and fasting. The third reason why you pray and fast is fasting is an act of humility before God. And the final reason that you fast is that you're saying to God that when you give the victory, it's in your strength, not in my strength. And to you be the honor and the glory. And your name will be glorified in this.
Praying and fasting go hand in hand. When somebody asks you to pray over them because they have a demon, set aside some time and say, "I'll meet you next Sabbath and we will we'll meet together." And before then you have a team of people praying and fasting so that person can indeed be set free. You know when I was in West Africa, Muslim mullers would send their family members to the Adventist missionaries because the Muslim mullers know that Muhammad is dead but Jesus is alive and Jesus can cast out spirits. It's a known fact in the Muslim world that Jesus casts out spirits but Muhammad is cannot because he's dead and buried in Medina. And Muslims know this and animists know and Hindu priests know they can invite spirit possession.
Many Hindu priests do the devas, the holy men of India. But it is only Jesus has the authority to set you free from the forces of Satan. And what we've been going through this afternoon, this evening is is some um some ways in which we can cooperate with Jesus in this battle. So what do we say in conclusion here tonight? [clears throat] Evil is not just a politician or a road accident or a tax bill.
Evil has a supernatural origin in our world. And the only way we can survive the attacks of Satan and this supernatural evil is when we have a savior who has authority over Satan. And that savior is Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that when Jesus gave his his first um speech sermon in in Nazareth, he said this. He says, "God has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, and to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." So Jesus did not come merely to teach us how to live our lives, but Jesus came to set us free from the attacks of Satan.
And what we've been discussing this evening are ways that we can cooperate with Jesus in that process of being set free. So what are those ways? Number one is this. Pray every day the Lord's prayer and say, "Lord, deliver me from the evil one. Put it in God's hands." Number two, put on the armor of God.
All of it. And uh do some more study as to what this means, particularly the sword of the spirit being the word of God. be able to quote scripture when Satan is attacking you. When you quote scripture, Satan flees from you. And thirdly, learn more about fasting and praying.
And when somebody has a problem or you have a problem or your child has a problem, rather than going to Google, go to God and start praying and fasting and gather some prayer warriors to be praying and fasting for three or four days. and then you may gather together and you're going to pray over that individual. You're going to anoint them. You're going to rebuke those spirits and command them to leave in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is not a gift that God gives to a few Christians.
This is the power of God that is supposed to flow through every Christian. I want to encourage you tonight. Don't subcontract this to somebody else. Take responsibility in your own home, in your own marriage, in your own life, in your own body for cleaning out and closing those doorways where Satan can enter so that your life and your home and your marriage can be filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit and you can experience the fullness of life that only God can give. So, our time is up.
I've been sharing a lot these last three days about spiritual warfare and how we gain victory over the attacks of Satan. I just want to plead with you tonight. This is not a joke. This is deadly real. The occult is everywhere in American society.
People are attracted to it because it's knowledge and power without moral responsibility for how you use it. At first, you think you can control it, but before you realize it controls you and then it destroys you. Have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness. But there is a savior who delivers his people. My one of my favorite verses of the Bible is this.
The angel of the Lord encamps round about those who fear him and deliverth them. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Happy are those who take refuge in him. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. You have to live this by faith.
Then you see that God is good. You can't just hear about this. You can't just read about the power of Christ. Jesus is willing to set us free tonight in this room when we go home to our bedrooms. He's willing to set us free from the attacks of Satan.
Not just today, but every day for the rest of our lives. We say in America that there are cursed families like the Kennedes. Yes, the Kennedys are a cursed family. And um that's kind of a popular term that this is a cursed family. Some people seem to have accidents all the time.
Some people everything goes wrong in their life all the time. And people wonder why is this? The chances are, and I say this after 30 years of ministry, the chances are is that they're in the grip of Satan and they just don't know it yet. But I serve a risen savior. He's in the world today.
I know that he is living no matter what men may say. I used to sing that song in the roads of Afghanistan when with the Taliban were there and there was a lot of shooting and fighting and killing going on. And I would comfort myself in the roads of Afghanistan, never knowing if I'd get home alive night after night by singing these songs from cradle roll. He walks with me and he talks with me along life's narrow way. And I'm only here today and alive and in one piece because Satan's tried to attack me in multiple ways.
But by the power and the grace of Jesus Christ, I'm still in the fight. And all of God's promises and blessings have come true in my life. And our Sunday night together, we spoke about God is in control of history and God is inviting us all into his kingdom when Jesus comes again. On Sunday, Monday night, we spoke about war in heaven, war in Eden, and war when Jesus came to earth. And we saw that Jesus has ne never lost a battle to Satan.
And tonight I've spoken about how we can partner with God in this process of gaining victories over the attacks of Satan. They're real. Take this seriously. But there is one with us and for us and who is will willing to be inside of us who is far greater than anything that Satan can throw at us. And that is Jesus Christ.
I'd invite you tonight whether you are a Christian or not. Maybe you've lived in the Christian church all your life, or maybe this is the first time you're hearing about this. Um, don't go home and say, "Well, that was interesting." Forget about what I've been sharing tonight. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil in my life and in your life. And if you want Jesus to destroy the works of the devil in your life, you have to put your hand in his, the hand of faith, and ask him to fight the battles you cannot fight for yourself.
And if tonight you want Jesus to fight those battles for you, maybe you want to raise your hand here. We're not going to ask you to come to the front. But if you want Jesus to fight these battles for you in your life so that Satan is driven away and you can live in the fullness and the abundance and the purity and the blessings of life that God wants for us, maybe you want to raise your hand here tonight. And and as you raise your hands, we're going to close with a word of prayer. We're going to place these matters in the hands of our Lord and Savior.
So I invite you uh for those of you watching at home or online or those of you in the hall here, bow your heads with me and we'll close with a prayer of consecration. Our dear heavenly father, we know we're living in a messed up world. [clears throat] Everywhere we see signs of brokenness. The environment is broken. The economy is broken.
Our politics are broken. Our bodies are broken. Our marriages and our homes have got cracks in them. And some of them are truly broken. And tonight, Father, maybe for the first time, we're asking Jesus Christ to fight the battles for us that we know are there but cannot see.
Jesus, we invite you to rebuke Satan, to drive de Satan and his demons away from our homes, our hearts, and our marriages. We're inviting you to gain victory for us that we may give praises to you that we may walk in the light and we may tell our neighbors and our families of the mercies of a loving heavenly father. So Jesus, please do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. Fight the battles we cannot see. Give us victory over those giants that stalk our homes.
And may you be glorified in every aspect of our lives. We ask this mercy in your holy name. Amen. Amen. And so tomorrow we're going to come back together and we're going to look at uh the greatest um promise, the time prophecy that was ever given in the Bible.
It wasn't Daniel 2 somewhere else in the Bible. We're going to look at what it means for us today. Uh so we look forward to seeing you tomorrow night uh 6:00 with some wonderful food, some more health nuggets. Um maybe not diabetes. What are we discussing tomorrow?
Parasites. Parasites. parasites, right? So, if you got children, come along tomorrow. Um, they [clears throat] may have parasites.
You may view them as parasites, but they may have bring parasites into your home. But tomorrow, we're talking about parasites for the health nuggets, and then we're talking about the greatest time prophecy in the Bible and how it relates to us tonight.
