now as as uh uh our Elder alluded to thefact um I gained a certain notorietywith religious liberty sermons butthat's not my first love my first loveis Jesus and when I was 13 I had awayward teenager heart and uh thepreacher went to a camp meeting and hewas preaching on Hosea and G thepreacher was revivalist from KingstonJamaica and he was preaching about Hoseaand GMA and God's love for Waywardhearts and I realized that I had awayward heart and God was calling meback to him so I went forward at thealtar call at the age of 13 and it wasthe best decision I ever made so youngpeople I want to challenge you today togive your lives to Jesus Christ uhbecause he is the way the truth and thelife and in a lost world you do not wantto be without a moral compass so I'mgoing to talk today about one of thestories of Jesus cuz that's my firstlove and as we're in the shadow of L Ithought I'd pick out a a topic on TheHealing Ministry of Jesus uh because I'mI assume there must be some Hospitaladministrators or Physicians or pts ornurses or people involved in the healinghealing profession here today so I wantto talk about a healing Miracle of Jesusand I picked uh the story of gyrus andthe woman with the issue of blood sothat's the sermon I prepared for thismorning I'd ask you to Bow your headswith me and invite the Holy Spirit tobless our time together dear heavenlyfatherwe thank you that your spirit inspiredMark to write this story for the uhChristians of Rome Lord in aMulticultural Society he announced thatthere is another king and that King isJesus and this story father teaches usabout how Jesus deals with the broken ofbody so father I pray that the samespirit that inspired Mark will work uponme today that you'll anoint my lips youwill guard what I say and think thateverything I say will be from yourthrone of gracefather May our hearts be ready to bechanged May our feet be ready be readyto be led May our minds be transformedby the hearing of your word this we askin jesus' nameamen all right so I'm not usingPowerPoint this morning andum uh there's various reasons for thatbut I'm not using that today but I wouldinvite you to open your Bibles to Markchapter uh 5 we're going to be focusingon this passage here today we're notgoing to talk about the demoniac we'regoing to talk about gyrus then the womanwith the issue of blood and I just wantto set the context before we narrow downinto the story I want to set the contexthere Mark you can divide into threeportions now I like to think of thestructure of things don't how you thinkof books in the Bible but I like to knowthat you know J Isaiah there's likefirst Isaiah and then there's the secondhalf Isaiah from 40 onwards that's why Ikind of divided in my mind Mark hasessentially three major components Mark1-8 the end of chapter 8 really is theGalilean Ministry of Jesus up in theNorth of Israel or the Holy Land andJesus is a man of action he's healinghe's preaching he's te teaching he'scasting out demons he's raising the DeadHe's teaching in Parables particularlyMark 4 the parable of the SE those arethe first major teachings we have inthis gospel Mark 4 and uh he's met by umby a skeptical crowd you know Jesus hasjust incredible teaching incredible umpreaching and yet wherever he goes hemeets opposition from the authorities hemeets skepticism within his family umthere is um popular appla from a Ficklecrowd that follows him around and thereis a tenuous commitment from the 12 sofar up until Mark 5 there is no examplereally of of a man of Faith or a womanof Faith who comes to Jesus and is savedper se uh we we assume it happens beforethat but here we have the first explicitexamples and so um I've got to get aheadof myself a bit there so the threecomponents of Mark 1-8 is the is theGalilean Ministry and at the end of thatpassage in Mark 8 about 27 you have thestory of Jesus with the man who's blindand Jesus spits in the ground and touchthe man on his eyes and the man openshis eyes and Jesus says can you seesomething and the man says yes butthey're like trees walking around youknow it's like everybody is right nowokay well last night I was here and theydropped all the lights and they onlykept these spotlights on you know Icouldn't see anybody out there I assumedthere was a congregation out there so Ispoke I spoke by faith last night so umthe man he and so Jesus um touches hiseyes again and uh he says some words tohim you see them in Mark 8 there andthen the man can see clearly and thepoint is that disciples need therepeated Touch of Jesus to see clearlythat you cannot say that I was baptized40 years ago and that's it for me Idon't need to grow spiritually that weneed the repeated Touch of Jesus as wego through life in order to see how weare to live and how we are to followJesus and that that implies we are tokeep growing day by day in our faith sowe need the repeated Touch of Jesus thenyou have the road to Jerusalem from theconfession in cesaria Philippi that youare the Messiah the Son of God saysPeter all the way through to the end ofchapter 10:52 where you have blindbmus and who is pictured as as a perfectdisciple um in the in the gospel of Markand then from 11 onwards you have thepassion narrative through to weekschapter 16 so Mark is divided into threecomponents and where we're looking attoday is in the middle of the GalileanMinistry in the first components of Markand this is where we find find the firstreal people of faith and so um the thecontext though and where is this storyactually happening the story of gyrusand his daughter well if you look inMatthew 9 when Jesus comes back fromhealing the the demoniac in the otherside of the lake he comes back to hishometown which is what Mark 5:21 sayshe's coming back to the Jewish side ofGalilee but he goes to capernium hishometown and he goes to the house ofMatthewLevi now Matthew Levi was a Publicanwhich means he was a he worked for theIRSum which meant he was a traitor I meanI'm not saying if you work for irsa youare a traitor I'm saying that in thosedays if you were a tax collector for theemperor of Rome you were considered atraitor and the Jewish Sakari and thezealots would walk up behind TaxCollectors with their curved knives andyou know give it them in the ribs uh itwas a dangerous job they were corruptthey made a lot of money by um extortingmoney from from the people and so Jesusgoes and he eats with Matthew who is atraitor with his fellow traitors andthere are sinners which is a euphemismfor women ofill-repute so you might say that Jesusin this story is going to a hoo'sbar let's be honest he's going where noself-respecting Rabbi or scribe orsadducee would ever go why because theson of man did not come to condemn butto save God did not send his son intothe world to condemn the world but thatthrough him the world might be savedJohn 3:17 so Jesus is at a place whereno self-respecting Jewish religiousleader would ever be seen dead becausein that place there are women who areand men who are open to thegospel and it's in this context that wefind the story of gyus and so gyus we'regoing to pick up the story in verse MarkMatthew 5 so Mark 5 sorry Mark 5:22 saysthere then one of the leaders of thesynagogue named gyus came and when hesaw him he fell at his feet and hebegged him repeatedly and if you look atthis chapter just in your Bibles you'llnotice that um from Mark 5 21-24 youhave the story of gyus then the story ofgyus picks up again from verse 35 to theend of the chapter and in the middle youhave the story of the woman with theissue of blood do you see that in yourBibles uh this is what you know Scholarswill call a sandwich construction if Igive you a sandwich if at pot luck saysomebody says would you like a sandwichyour response is well what kind ofsandwich is it see a sandwich is definednot by the bread on the outside butwhat's in the inside yes is it a PB&J isit I don't know cheese and tomato is itpeanut butter and Mite I mean who knowswhat's in the sandwich what's in thesandwich defines whether you want thesandwich yes the the the filling definesthe it adds meaning to the sandwich andso if you look just on Matthew Mark 6 Idon't know why I keep saying Matthewthis morning we're in Mark let stick inMark if you look at Mark 6 in verse 5and 6 and 7 and 8 and 9 and 10 11 and 12and 13 that's where Jesus sends out thedisciples and then if you look at Mark 6and vers vers 30 it says the disciplesgathered around Jesus and told him allthat they had done and taught and so youhave two two Eng of the sandwich Jesussends them out and then about 30 verseslater they come back to Jesus and theysay all that they've done what have theybeen doing they've been casting outdemons raising the dead teaching tolarge crowds and to popular Applause andHealing The Sick and you'd imagine thatbeing a disciple of Jesus is a onewayticket to popular CL claim and Applauseandpopularity but in the middle of thisMark sandwiches the story of John theBaptist who dies for his faith and it'sa reminder to those 12 and reminder tous today that if you become a discipleof Jesus you would be wrong to assumeit's a one-way ticket to popular claimand po popularApplause that we do have to pay a costthere is a cost for following Jesusdietr bonhof understood that in the costof discipleship written during the Naziera in Germany and so we're going tocome back to this this sandwich withgyus and the woman here and we're goingto pick up the story with gyus and itsays the gyrus one of the leaders of thesynagogue he is you might say in inHebrew rash haket the head of thesynagogue now he's not a Pharisee andhe's not a scribe and he's not asadducee and he's not a herodian he is alay leader elected by the synagoguemembers to lead their synagogue and assuch he is a respected member of thecommunity he is like your conferencepresident here someone who's elected bythe constituto lead the body of Christ here insoutheast California is that theconference here by the way SoutheastCalifornia yes sou Southeast SoutheastCalifornia yes okay thank you as we saythat the Pastors in Minnesota inFebruary if you get a call to Californiaor February or Florida in February thenGod is definitely calling you you knowthe weather here is so nice you know soanyway uh so this is a leader of thesynagogue he's responsible for thepreaching for the preaching roster he'sresponsible for the prayer who prays andsynagogue he's responsible forappointing the singers in the synagoguehe's responsible for overseeing the poorfund he's responsible for the publicrelations of the synagogue this is aperson of serious social standing injesus' Hometown and he is very wellaware that the Pharisees do not likeJesus and neither do the scribes neitherdo the herodians they've been plottingfor Jesus to die for at least threechapters now in the story of Mark and hemust have been aware that Jesus was notapproved by the social Elites ofJerusalem and of Galileeand yet we read here that he comes toJesus and he doesn't just come to Jesusafter church in the synagogue he doesn'tjust come to Jesus alone on thecountryside as does in in the mountainsas does Nicodemus he doesn't come toJesus in a deserted place he is sodesperate to save his daughter that hegoes to a Hooter's bar to find Jesussitting down among women of ill reputesand traitors he's desperate to save hisdaughter there's no Bridge he will notcross in order to save his daughter heknows what the Pharisees think aboutJesus but he comes up to Jesus and hefalls at the feet of Jesus and he saysmy little daughter is at the point ofdeath come and lay your hands on him sothat she may be made well and that shemay be liveed literally escos which isthe word escaton escos e which is theend she has that she's at death's doorthe end is nigh my daughter is dyingI've got nowhere else to go would youplease come and save my daughterand what parent would not do absolutelyeverything for their child particularlywhen your child is at death store whenmaybe the Physicians have no furtherresponse to help no further way ofhelping this child this desperate fatheris willing to risk everything to helphis daughter he doesn't rush to thephysicians at this stage of hisdaughter's life he doesn't consult withthe Pharisees about whether it's properfor a conference president to go to abar like this he doesn't consult withthe Sadducees about whether it's goingto affect his social stat in if he'sseen with Jesus he's not worried aboutbeing publicly cancelled by beingassociated with Jesus even though thePharisees reject Jesus and the Sadduceeseffect reject Jesus and the herodiansreject Jesus and the crowd aren't quitesure what they think about Jesus heStakes everything by entering Matthew'shouse and bowing before Jesus andbegging him to come to his house he'swilling to be socially cancelled becauseof a public Declaration of faith inJesus don't think that Council cultureis anything new in the Gospels we findit all over the place John 9 the man whowas healed in the temple of blindnessthe parents are afraid to to answer thePharisees their questions why becausethe Pharisees had already agreed that ifanybody showed faith in Jesus they wouldbe excluded from the synagogue that'slike becoming a nonperson today thesynagogue administered the poor fundit's where all the social and communalactivities took place to be excludedfrom the synagogue meant you became anonperson financially sociallyprofessionally and economically withinJewish Society cancel culture was alivethen as it is today and this is a manwho spent his life serving the synagoguebut his daughter is so desperate and isabout to die that he's willing to riskeverything for Jesus and I want to sayto you today this that you cannot turncourage on like a lightswitch when that final crisis comes toplanet Earth and comes to the UnitedStates do not think that a life of ofgoing along to get along is going tostand you well in the finalscrisis courage does not appear overnightamen we need to exhibit courage forJesus today in the decisions that we arebeing required to make today in orderthat when that final crisis comes we'vealready exercised our spiritual musclesso we can stand in the finalcrisis and obviously this is a man ofCourage because he's willing to riskeverything for his daughter he's willingto risk his future as the head of thesynagogue he's willing to risk thecondemnation of the Pharisees and theSadducees but he has courage for hisdaughter I want to challenge you todayto think about how you're exhibitingcourage for Jesus you know before Davidfought Goliath we discover in 1st Samuel17 that he'd fought a lion and a bearhadn't he so it wasn't a big step itwasn't he he'd been faithful with hisEarthly father's flock now he could befaithful with his Heavenly father'sflock all right and so if you beingasked to be made decisions there I'm notsaying what decisions here because Idon't know you as individuals butwhatever decisions you're being made orrequired to make today be men and womenof prayerful courage and follow yourconvictionsbecause if you're not going to followyour convictions now you're not going tofollow them tomorrow and if you don'tfollow them tomorrow you've been so usedto compromising you won't stand in thefinalcrisis so here is a man who's willing tobe cancelled for his public Declarationof faith in Jesus we also notice in thisthat this is a living faith that isexpressed in the publicsphere see when John 3:16 whosoeverbelieveth in him should not perish buthave everlasting life we often relegatethat so it says Whoever has faith in himshould not perish but have everlastinglife but that's not what Jesus said seethe noun is Faith pisce but Jesus doesnot say that whoever has faith in theSon of God will have everlasting life hesays whoever believes in him that's averb is not have faith George Michaelsng you got to have faith yeah veryfamous song that's not what Jesus istalking about when Jesus says thatwhoever believes in him shall not perishbut have everlasting life he's sayingthat belief is a verb that you expressin your daily life to be a follower ofJesus is not just to say I go to churchonSabbath it means that I live my faith ona day-to-day basis in every decisionthat Imake we say in America are you aChristian yes I go to church that'sprobably the wrong answer are you aChristian yes I follow Jesus every day Iexpress my faith every day I'm notashamed of my faith any day I'm willingto live my faith every day regardless ofthe consequences whether it be legal oremployment or financial or whatever thecase may be and so this is a man who'swilling to be canceled for Jesus and hesays to Jesus come and lay your hands onher so that she may be made well andthat she may live and it's interestingyou know in throughout the gospels theverb to heal is the same as the verb tosave so when Jesus says to Blind bartussome vergins say go in PA go in peaceyour faith has healed you you canlegitimately translate It Go in faith goin peace your faith has saved you and inthe writings of the gospels um physicalhealing is closely tied his spiritualsalvation and so this man he comes toJesus and he says come and lay yourhands on her and notice this thatthroughout the gospel of Mark Jesus doeslay his hands on people to heal them butthat's not a complete understanding ofJesus this man has an incompleteunderstanding he thinks that Jesus mustcome physically to my house to touch mydaughter before she can be made wellremember that and yet the cofan daughterwoman comes says you you can heal mydaughter the Roman Centurion says youdon't need to come to my house just saythe word word my child will be made welland Jesus says I've not found Faith suchas this throughout Israel so this is aman with an incomplete understanding andyet Jesus honors incompleteunderstandings Jesus does not demand inthe gospels that we have a perfectSystematic Theology Before He'll revealhimself in our homes and touch Our Liveswhat he's looking for is an active FaithNo matter how imperfect theunderstanding no matter how imperfectthe faith is even the man later in thisgospel that says Lord I believe helpthou my my unbelief Jesus honors thelittle bit of faith that can befound if you have faith as a mustardseed that is I going to get an Amagnifying glass like a PCR test andramp it up to 100 Cycles we'll find someCo in You by hook orcrook sorry I won't go down thatpath but if you look close enough youfind every disease and everybody Iguess well Jesus honors imperfect Faitha classic example of this is China inthe 1970s and 19 1980s the Chineseunderground Church grew by tens ofmillions of people story incrediblestories of faith and if you never readthe story of the Chinese undergroundChurch I'd encourage you to read it youhave stories of people who have nocontact with the gospel who are livingessentially animist or Confucian livesin rural Villages of China and a and apreacher who is on the run from theChinese Communist Party arrives in yourvillage gathers a few Farmers togethertells a few stories of Jesus and invitespeople to accept Jesus as Savior thenthe preacher is gone 2 hours laterbecause the police are on his path thishappened for about 20 30 years undermount seong and the Gang of four therewas real persecution of preachers andthese were lay preachers scatteringacross China and there are reports fromall across China that somebody would saywell I don't understand everything Iheard but my mother has leprosy I'mgoing to pray for her to be healed andthe mother was healed in the name ofJesus or people were raised from thedead in China in the' 70s 80s '90sbecause illiterate peasants in TheVillages heard that the name of Jesus isall powerful and they trusted the nameof Jesus and the dead were raised andthe church in G China grew likewildfire it's an incredible story thatGod does not look for a doctorate intheology he looks for an ounce offaith and soJesus he goes with her it says there inverse 24 so Jesus went with him and aloud crowd large crowd followed him andpressed in on him D gyrus is begging forhis child he doesn't give up on hischild he doesn't say well she's about todie you know her life is over you knowI'm going to have a I'm going to have acalculated approach to this I'm going tojust stay home and grieve and receivethe the sympathy of the community lether die rather than risk everything andgo and see Jesus he fights for hisdaughter I want to encourage you todayto fight for your children as well youknow support your teachers in yourschool here I see you have a school heresupport your teachers pray for themsupport the Pathfinders that arestarting up in this school in thischurch here now pray for your childrenand don't give up on them because nomatter what Satan does to them whilethere is life there ishope and so G Jesus goes with gyrus andnow we come to the story of the womanwith the issue of blood and in my notesit's called the bleeding woman and Irealized looking at my notes here thatthat's probably not a nice way to referto it is it you know a bleeding womanfrom from England that would be kind oflike a term of abuse so I'm not going touse that okay there are only fivesyllables the bleeding woman but thewoman with the issue of blood so thatdoubles the length of the sermon if Ihave to call her that but I'm going tocall her that right cuz I think it's abit more polite so anyway she comes upbehind Jesus it says there in verse 25now follow me in your Bibles there was awoman who' been suffering fromhemorrhages for 12 years she had enduredmuch under many Physicians and had spentall that she had and she was no betterbut rather grewworse now unlike gyus who has a name andwho is a male and who has socialstanding and is in the synagogue everySabbath and can come to Jesus face toface and he can say exactly what theproblem is you have a woman without aname who cannot go to the synagogue whohas no social standing and if peopleknew that she was present would want herto be locked away because every timeevery person she touches is now uncleanand who she can't even tell Jesus whather problem is there's a completecontrast between these twostories according to the Torah a womanwas ceremon unclean for 7 days aftermenstruation or for as long as she hadan extended problem and anyone who cameinto contact with her in Leviticus 15 29through 20 19- 27 was themselvesceremony unclean until the end of theday so as she pushes her way through thecrowd everybody whom she touches is nowceremonially unclean she's risking a lotto get toJesus and she couldn't even go to thetemple but Jesus is now replacing thetemple as the meeting place between Godand humanity and somehow she has adeeper understanding of Jesus and thescri scribes and the Pharisees do andshe's pushing through to meet Jesusrather than to go to the temple becauseit's in Jesus that God and Humanityfinally meet and she comes up behindJesus and she touches the Hem of Hisrope of his robe verse29 look in your Bible there it saysthere that she was healed of her diseasenow that word for disease is aninteresting word that Mark uses uh masinum it's I think I think I pronouncedthat correctly um it's better translated as a whip or a Scourge or as anAffliction this wasn't just a menstrualcycle gone wrong this was a very painfulcondition that she was enduring for 12years um this is when it says in Acts22:24 that Paul was going to be scourgedwith whips it's the same word that isused there so this woman has had apainful shameful condition that'sisolated her for 12 years and we thinkthat a CO lockdown is bad for oneyear with all our creature comfortshe's endured a 12yearlockdown with no respite no possibilityof getting out of that lockdown she isdesperate for help she's gone throughkid covid isolation multiple times overshe has physical suffering internal painand deep social shame and because she'sa ceremonially unclean nobody wants togo near her maybe the closest we haveare maybe those uh elderly folks whowere locked into nursing homes in thefirst months of the co crisis and theirrelatives who would have to come andtouch the windows on the outside to seethem we had a colleague in our officewho was diagnosed with terminal cancerjust after the pandemic started and itwent down real quick she she passed awayabout 3 weeks later and we went to saygoodbye to her and we we stood on theoutside of the um theum not nursing home where people go todie hospice thank you thank you we St onthe outside of the hospice with a phonespeaking to her through the windowsaying oh goodbyes but this woman hasendured that kind of isolation for 12years years can you imagine what she'sfeeling like and it's a dramaticdescription verse 26 my vers said she'dendured much under many Physicians andhad spent all that she had that's notquite what Mark says literallytranslated and I wrote it out for myselfit says having a blood flow havingsuffered from many doctors havingexhausted all her wealth having notimproved but having gotten worse that'sbad English having got worse shesuffered much from many Physiciansexhausted all her resources and gainednothingyou know it's this like having a bloodflow having suffered under doctorshaving exhausted her wealth having notimproved but having gotten worse it'slike this Hammer blow after hammer blowafter hammer blow this woman has nochance of getting better she's exhaustedall her options she's been to everyMedical Center she's spent all that shehad the priests don't want to see herthe Levites don't want to see her thepeople in the town don't want to see hershe's basically sitting at home waitingtodie it's a tragic tragicpicture then in verse 20seven it says literally having heardabout Jesus and having come up behindhim in the crowd she touched his cloakwe switched from the um the perfect tothe RS tense in this verse here shetouched his cloak this is the turningpoint in her spiritual experience whatstarted her was that phrase she'd heardabout Jesus somebody had said what Jesushad done in their life cuz so far in thegospel there's hardly any teaching fromJesus it's the parable of the SE in Mark4 but other than that you'd behardpressed to say what Jesus wastalking about in Mark 1 2 34 not muchthere Matthew has five big sermons likethe sermon on the mounts Matthew 10 andso forth but there's not much teachingof Jesus in the first four uh chaptersof Mark but somebody has said somethingabout what Jesus has done in their lifeand it sparked Hope In This Woman'slife somebody gave theirtestimony somebody shared what Jesus haddone for them am some body was willingto say in a world where the religiousand social Elites mocked Jesus that Idon't care what the world says this iswhat I know he's done for me and you'regoing to have to live with theconsequences and we live in that kind ofworld today where if you express yourfaith in Jesus the social Elites of ournation will mock you and view you assome kind of like backward rube inKentucky or something no offense tokentuckians but you know what I'mtalking about you're a country hickbut she has heard something about Jesusand notice this she had heard aboutJesus it doesn't say she'd heard thatthe disciples who followed Jesus werealways arguing aboutposition and it doesn't say she'd heardthat the disciples were arguing aboutwho was the greatest in the kingdom ofGod and it doesn't say that thedisciples wanted to call down fire onthose Villages that didn't accept Jesusit's a good thing that she'd never heardthat what she heard about was she heardthat Jesus can heal and Jesus can saveso what do people hear about fromyou what do they hear from you do theyknow you as representativ ambassadors ofJesus here in um Menon church or do theyhear about the Troubles of the Saintsfrom you do they hear about thepolitical polarization in our nation howbad this person is or how evil thatperson is or do they hear that there isa better way in this world and that isto follow Jesus what do people hear fromyou because you may be the onlyChristian in your school in your classin your dormatory in your place of workin your clinic or in your Hospital Wardwhat do people hear from you you know II I was showing in the first servicetoday you know I had a variety ofmedical issues and Last 5 Years at abroken tibian fibula then I had a akidney stone and some back pain and afew other things and um I was beingchecked in to have my kidney stonepulled out uh which was a I won't tellthe story CU there are kids present andum anyway it was it was amess uh for days afterwards and um I waspreaching the diap cuz you know couldn'tcontrol control myself I can give you ahint of what was happening and uh thatwas the worst sermon I everpreached um cuz I kept worrying is itshowing or is it not but anyway and Ican't even remember why I've gone downthis path and my mind goes down theserabbit holes I have my wife to gentlyremind me to steer me back to topic umnow where were we seriously i' I've lostmy my my Chain of Thought uh somethingabout doctors and medical care and uh ifit comes to me I'll tell you all rightbut anyway I I I'll I'll come back tothat somebody once wrote me a note aftera sermon that said passed by and theysaid I did a children's story aboutbeing forgetful my wife sent me intotown to put some hands some clothes backon a Friday afternoon and I couldn'tremember when I got to town why am I I'min town so I drove around town I thoughtwell I always go to Lowe's so maybethat's why I came to Lowe's I walkedaround Lowe's thinking what did I wantin Lowe's but nothing came to my mindand so I bought some LED light bulbs cuzif loads I always by LED light bulbs andI drove home and showed them to my wifeand proudly show I got these LED lightbulbs and she said um did you hand theclothes back oh that's what I went totownfor and um she said what were youthinking about I said I wasn't I saidafter 21 years of marriage I've beinginstitutionalized I've lost the capacityfor rational independent thinking so uhanyway uh those of you guys who beenmarried for many years you know what I'mtalking about yeah so anyway uh how didwe get on to this anyway um immediatelyher Hemorrhage stopped all right she'dheard about Jesus oh yeah I was beingchecked in for my kidney stone and andthe lady says are you male or female Isaid I'm apenguin and that's where I was going andshe says well what do you mean and so wehad a conversation about you created theimage of God male and female created hethem and what are your options on yourhospital system here I want to know whatyour options are and if I say I'm apenguin you're legally obliged to writethat down uh when I flew into New Yorkrecently from Morocco they wanted mygender identity on the on the landingcard and so I thought about it long andhard light what do I identify as at12:01 a.m. today and I put downJackhammer I think some some poor civilservant has to enter this into theirdatabase that a jackhammer arrived onflight so and so fromMorocco anyway the the point about thisis what is the point about this yes thepoint about it is this that um faith inJesus is expressed in our daily livesand what do people hear from us and ifpeople come into contact with us does itInspire faith in them in the midst ofthe most darest ofcircumstances do we inspire people tocome to Jesus what do people know youfor when you leave the room do peopleremember you from the cut of yourclothes or the purity of your speech dopeople remember you for how nice yourshoes were or how well groomed you wereor do they remember you from the factyou spoke about Jesus what do peopleremember aboutyou I think it's a great goal in life tohave a goal to have an objective thatI'll go to a meeting I don't wantanybody to remember what I was wearingbut I want them to know that I spokeaboutJesus if you go through life with thatkind of attitude it's a real blessingbecause if that person had not told herabout what Jesus had done for them thiswoman would still be suffering in a in amenstrual lockdown and she had have diedprobably of pain locked away you don'tknow the blessing of telling your storyand that story should be about theblessing of Jesus in your life and so umimmediately she's healed verse 29 shetouches the the robe of Jesus vers 29she's healed says immediately herHemorrhage shopped and she felt in herbody that she was healed of her diseaseand immediately aware that power hadgone away from him Jesus turned about inthe crowd and said who touched myclothes now this is a strange questionisn't it because he's in the middle of acrowd Luke's Luke's version says that hewas being choked or throttled by thePress of the crowd you know this is likeyou're going into a crowded concert or aSuper Bowl or some crowded event andeverybody's like jostling in on you andyour hands are in your pocket so the pckpockets can't get there first yesand and so you your hands standing therehands in your pocket there's peoplepressing in on all sides of you andyou're just praying you can get throughthis safely and there's no Stampede andso this woman she reach she worms herway through and she touches Jesus um onthe on the Hem of His robe believingthat if she but touches his clothes Iwill be madewellnow Jesus turns around and says whotouched me and the disciples areastonished they say how can you say thatyou see the crowd pressing in on you howcan you say who touched me there's animportant lesson for us here and it'sthis truly even today many press inaround Jesus yet very few actually touchhim and fewer still are touched by himamen the crowd was walking side by sidewith Jesus they were following Jesusthey were listening to Jesus they wereseeing everything that he did they wererejoicing in the incredible Miracles hewas doing and the teachings he wasteaching but very few of them wereactually touched by Jesus in theirinnermost partsyou can walk and talk as a Christiantoday and never experience the touch ofJesus and that is maybe one of thegreatest tragedies of the Christian Lifeyou can go through the ritual and theLiturgy and the hymns and the classesand the preaching all the rest of it butthere is still something missing thereis still the lack of the touch of Jesusin my life so Jesus I hear that otherpeople have been blessed but what aboutme where is your touch in my life andmay not be a physical touch butcertainly a spiritual touch it is atragedy to be ostensibly so close toJesus and to live the Christian Life andyet remain Untouched by him in ourpersonallives Jesus looks around in verse 32 tosee who had had done it it's an iter ofimperfect the tense which means Jesuskept on looking around Jesus was lookingfor that lady he knew he'd been touchedand he was looking around for her and sothere's a lesson for us as disciplesthere jesus' persistence in discoveringwho touched him matched the woman'spersistence in getting to him but thewoman wanted a cure she wanted somethingand Jesus wanted an encounter withsomeone she wanted something from Jesusand Jesus wanted to knowher and we must avoid the Temptations asDisciples of Jesus today are followingGod because of what we get out ofit I Will Follow You Lord if I get thisgood careerI Will Follow You Lord in the pay riseor the happy marriage or the healthychildren I Will Follow You Lord if thereis social Applause and publicAcclaim but if anything is put on theline if I have to lose anything for youcount meout she wants something from Jesus hewants to know her and there's a bigdifference she had nothing to offerJesus except her faith and her love andthat's what he was really seeking thereso I want to challenge you today do notfollow Jesus because you get somethingfrom him we follow Jesus because of whohe is the fairest and the brightest ofthem all the The Benchmark for Humanitythe one who yes heals it was myprivilege about four weeks ago I had aphone call from a lady who'd who'd umshe's a sister-in-law of of theAyatollah ofIran and a few years ago she was deaddeath deadly sick and she prayed toJesus and he appeared to her and he saidshe said to me he appeared like fire anddiamonds that's how I described him andhe healed me that night completelyhealed my body and I told my familyincluding the Ayatollah and I had toflee for my life and for the last over15 years she's fled around the worldavoiding the Iranian secret police nowshe's a refugee somewhere underprotective uh custody new identity andum an incredible story of a devoutMuslim woman who was healed at theheights of the Iranian regime right inthe Inner Circle there and is now afollower of Jesus who lost everythingfor Jesus but she called me because shesays I need to tell my story people needto know that Jesus appeared to a deathlydeathly ill woman in a foreign land andhe healed me despite the the theologythat I wasespousing Jesus does appear appear andhe does heal people today so Jesus wantsto meet you even if you want somethingfrom him and he invites us today tofollow him not because of what we gainbut because of who he is because wefollow him as we follow him because ofwho he is our characters are transformedif we follow him because of we wantsomething we're exacerbating greed inour own lives and when we lose that onething we're tempted to lose our faith inJesus and regimes around the worldcontrol Christians because of fear ofloss let's just cut to the chase herepersecution works because the governmenttakes away your career your home yourhouse your possessionand people we do not want to lose thesethings therefore we give up our faith inJesus and those kind of decisions arecoming to America very very soon some ofyou are already facing questions ofconscience I'm neither Pro nor anti-idvaccination but it is a question ofconscience and you have to live withyour conscience and if you choose ingood conscience to take the vaccine Ithank the Lord if you choose in goodconscience not to take the vaccine Ifully support that as well but actaccording to your conscience becausethat which does not proceed from faithis a sin so you need to be convictedthat doing X or not doing X is God'swill for you in yourlife this is not an antiv vaccinationtalk it's a pro- freedom of consciencetalk talk and so Jesus looks not for herum she looks for him because she wantssomething Jesus looks for her because hewantsher and she falls at hisfeet says there in verse 33 but thewoman knowing what what had happened toher came in fear and trembling fell downbefore him and told him the whole truthclearly Hippa didn't apply backthere what did she tell him she told himabout her illness Herdiagnosis her Scourge her whip her painher lockdown her medical history herbankruptcy her pain hersuffering herdespair her hearing her her hope herPursuit and her healing she told him thewhole truth and it's an incredible storyso that everybody knows what's happenedto this lady and truly if we've beentouched by Jesus we also have to bewilling to testify to the whole truth ofwhat God has done for us people say whydon't we see the same healing miraclesin let's say lomalinda or Michigan as wesee in the Philippines or Iraq or placeslike that I believe one of the primaryreasons is that too many WesternChristians if God answered a prayer likethat we'd be too embarrassed to tellwhat hashappened we're not willing to say I Iprayed about something and God healed mebecause we're afraid we're going to bethought to becrazy and even though I've been blessedby you know the doctors in Michigan forthe multiple procedures in the last fewyears I thank God for everybody in thehealing professions whether you a porteror a janitor or an admin assistant or asurgeon or whatever the case may be inthose hospitals I think than God forevery one ofyou because God God uses you to putpeople back on their feet in my casequiteliterally I thank God for The HealingArts but if I'm wanting God to heal mebut I I'm never going to share what Godhas done for me why would God healme we say to our missionaries in placeslike India if a young man comes to youand he's a Hindu and he's got someterrible disease and he says would youwould you ask Jesus to heal me but he'sbeen in the morning he's gone to um makePuja or worship at a Hindu temple theanswer is no because God is a jealousGod and he wants the glory that goes tohim and he's not going to share hisglory with the Hindu deities if you aregoing to ask Jesus to heal you you muststep aside from that Hindu deity and andnot offer Puja in the temple and youmust come and ask Jesus and Jesus aloneto heal you because then when you arehealed you know it is Jesus that healedyou but if you're going to cover allyourbases then this isn't going to workwork uh the uh Desire of Ages puts itthis way she says the gifts which thegospel offers are not to be secured bystealth or enjoyed in secret so the Lordcalls upon us for confession of hisgoodness then she quote from Isaiah43:12 ye are my Witnesses saith the Lordthat I am God that is you are mywitnesses that means you testify to mygoodness in your community what God hasdone for you that means you are hiswitness and if you're not willing to bea witness to what God has done for youwhy would God do anything foryou so I want to challenge you today tothink about what God has done for you toshare what God has done for you becausein opening up to others what God hasdone for you you're an opening up spacein your life for God to work again inyour life we read again in Desire ofAges the Lord Works continually tobenefit mankind he is ever imparting hisbounties he raises up the sick from bedsof languishing he delivers men fromPeril which they do not see hecommissions Heavenly angels to save themfrom Calamity to guard them from the thepestilence that walketh in darkness andthe destruction that wasteth at Noondaybut their hearts areunimpressed he has given all the richesof Heaven to redeem them and yet theyare unmindful by their ingratitude theyclose their hearts against the grace ofGod page 348 Desire of Ages so tell yourstory menone Church open up your life tothe touch of Jesus if we are not willingto confess God's goodness in our liveswhy would God continue to blessverse34 this is the final judgment from Jesuson this lady it says he said toher and you wonder what you know thisisn't the first woman at the feet ofJesus is it the woman caught an adulterywas also at the feet of Jesus with ahostile crowd this is another woman atthe feet of Jesus with a hostile crowdand Jesus opens his mouth and what's hegoing to say like how dare you come andtouch me and how dare you make meceremony and clean and did you not thinkabout passing on that terrible uning toyour neighbors and and the spread in theinfection and all the rest of it and whydon't you say in Social isolation no hedoes not say that first thing he sayshisdaughter there's no reproach there's noshame there's no criticism it's anunexpected term of Tender Love I don'tthink she expected Jesus to saydaughter I have one daughter with mywife she's a junior now she like she wasthat big yesterday now she's thatbig and I think it's good for a guy tohave a daughter because it awakens thetenderness in your character that maynever otherwise appear I have a son aswell so there Rough and Tumble there buthaving adaughter uh you know having a daughteris good for a guy because it awakens atenderness that may never otherwiseappear and Jesus turns to her and hedoesn't say woman he doesn't say you hecalls her daughter it's a term ofendearment you know my daughter's nameis Christina but I don't call herChristina at homewe all have pet names for our childrenyes we call herKiki you know and she's happy with Kikiat home don't tell her that but shehappy with Kiki at home it's a term thatexpresses love and endearment andtenderness and I'll do anything foryou and Jesus has healed this girl hesays your faith has made you well nownotice this he doesn't say your touchhas made me well has made you well hesays your faith has made you well seestanding next to her is gyrus who'sprobably looking at his watch and sayinglook my daughter's about to die rightyou've healed the woman let's get onwith things now Jesus has a message forgyus before he can get to Gus's homejarus needs to hear that it doesn'tmatter if Jesus is physically presentit's not the touch that heals you it'sthe faith that heals you and gyus I needyou to learn this lesson because youthink I've got to come to your house tosave your daughter but I don't if youjust expressed Faith right now yourdaughter's illness could be reversed onher deathbed and so Jesus says to thewoman but he also says say to gyus who'sin the background your faith has madeyou well he then says to her go inpeace that's what my version says Idon't know what your version says I'musing the you revised here but he saysgo in peace and now he doesn't say someversions say go with peace or go inpeace that's not quite what he says heuses the preposition into he doesn't usethe preposition with or in he uses thepreposition into so she doesn't merelydepart at peace with Jesus and at peacewith the crowd but she's now she canleave and she can enter into a newexperience of Peace she's entering intopeace because Jesus has touched herlife why can she do that because For thefirst time in her life maybe she nowknows that she is the daughter of theking of kings and Lord of lords andevery daughter then and now has agod-given right to expect her father towatch over her to protect her and toprovide for her now these days we crythat as toxicmasculinity it's part of Satan's attackonmanhood but every daughter has the rightto expect that her father will protecther and provide for her and watch overher when my daughter was when shegraduated from elementary school youknow all the kids they these littletalks you know at the school like thankyou Mom for this and thank you Dad forthat and I was sitting there thinkingwhat's she going to say cuz she's got ared she's got a a shock of red hair andum I know sometimes she's gentle andmeek and sometimes she's the fiery Irishblood comes out of her and I'm what'sshe going to say up there today and sheshe said thank you Mom for cooking withme thank you Mom for going shopping withme thank you Mom for talking with meabout my friends and all this kind ofstuff and and I think what's she goingto say and then she says Dad she saysthank you for making me feelsafe as a guy that's more important thanthank you for lovingme my job is to make her feel safe shecan go into peace when she goes home atnight she can go into peace when shegoes anywhere with her fatherand this woman can go into peace becauseshe has the affirmation and we need thataffirmation today that we are Sons andDaughters of the king of kings and Lordof lords so we can leave this house ofworship into the world but we can alsoenter into peace knowing that the one Ifhe if he who if he is with us who can beagainst us and that he is greater thanall those who are against us that hispurpose is our Eternal salvation thathis power is infinite and his authoritySupreme and so this woman she get entersinto peace because she's had contactwith Jesus meanwhile we come to theother end of the sandwich and time ismoving on here so verse 35 while Jesuswas still speaking some people came fromthe leader's house to say your daughteris dead why trouble the teacher anyfurther the delay with the woman hasbeen fatal for Gus's daughter she isdead why bother Jesus Anymore lowexpectations of God lead to lowresults she's dead don't even botherasking him come to the house he can'tnothing can be done she's dead if wehave low expectations of God guess whatwill happen we'll see low low resultsnow William Cary the famous missionaryto China said expect great things fromGod and attempt great things forGod and missionary work is a story ofboldness we have to have a boldness forGod a holy boldness that goes forwardknowing the risks but knowing that hethat is with us is greater than thosethat are against us and knowing thatoften times has already gone before usand has already prepared a harvest ofrighteousness we just have to discoverit when we get out there they have lowexpectations don't come to the houseshe's dead why bother Jesus and Jesusresponds it says overhearing what theysaid Jesus said to to gyus he saido notbe afraid only believe do have a verbdoesn't say Have Faith it's a verb thatis live your faith now is the test offaith do you want me to come to yourhouse or should I go to somewhere elsenow the child is dead you've just seen Icould touch I could heal this woman andit was her faith that healed her so nowjarus your faith is on theline if you want your daughter to liveyou're going to have to trust me that Ican rescue her from the grave or you canlisten to these these hard-bittenempiricists who say that Earthlyrealities are everything and she's deadso just giveup what's gyus going to do there isFaith and there is fear and many peoplein our country today are crippled byfear and fear is beyond reason or logicbecause it is an emotion you can'trationalize somebody out of fear it isperfect love that casteth outfear and so for people who are crippledby fear I believe the best response asChristians is to show them thecompassion of Jesus to love them inpractical ways to help them see that yesthere's a terrible pandemic but no youdon't have to be crippled by fear youcan still live a life that is worthliving you can still love and receivelove you can still be a blessing in yourcommunity and re and be open to Ministryfrom other people love drives out fearand where there is fear there is littlefaith and so gyrus must choose must he FCH must he focus on the circumstances ofhis daughter's death or he focus on whatJesus just done for the woman with theissue of blood yeah nine cons syllablesthat took took a bit of time didn't ityeah but D but uh likewise we mustchoose will we focus on the visiblecircumstances before us or will wechoose on focusing on God for whom allthings arepossible where are we going to focusJeremiah 32:22 says this 27 see orbehold I am the Lord the God of AllFlesh is anything too hard for me KeepOn Believing says Jesus it doesn't justsay only believe it's it's a presentimperative and it's got a continuoussense that is believe now and Keep OnBelieving because you're going to runinto obstacles and the faith is going tocarry you through that fear and thefaith is going to carry through thatuncertainty and the faith is going tocarry you through the naysayers and thefaith is going to carry you throughwhatever this world throws at you yougot to Keep On Believing and that livingyour faith and expressing your faith andgyus you're going to express your faithNow by walking with me to your housethat's how you're going to express yourfaith you see expressing your faithdoesn't always mean standing andpreaching in the Pulpit jarus you'regoing to express your faith by walkingdown this road with me to your homeaddress something as simple as that butwhich your friends are telling you ispointless at this moment in time soexpressing your faith doesn't have to beconverting multitudes it maybe it'sexpressing the little things of life aswell as in the big decisions oflife and so they come to thehouse they find the professionalmourners there people are Weeping andwailing loudly and Jesus says the childis not dead but the child is sleepingand they laughed at him at that momenttheir artificial lamentation turns intosincere mockery once again thosemourners represent the hard-bittenrealists of the 21st century who ininsist that empirical realities andscience override Divinepossibility and because they have thisattitude they Clos themselves off fromwitnessing the miracle of the child'sResurrection you see if the crowd hadsaid Jesus we believe we want to see youraise the child from the dead he wouldhave raised her from the dead in frontof them all just as he raised the Widowof na son in front of the whole crowdand J Jaz Lazarus in front of the wholecrowd but because they close off theirhearts to unbelief therefore God doesnot allow them to see the miracle that'sabout to takeplace so does your heart Clos to thepossibility of Godworking if you fundamentally don'tbelieve that God is going to do anythingfor you you're not going to see him doanything foryou and one of the reasons we come tochurch is that I may come to church andI may say I don't see God acting in mylife at all and the person sitting nextto you and says oh brother but this iswhat happened and this is what happenedand this is what happened we can all seeGod at work in your life you just can'tsee it for yourself cuz you don't expectit and you've closed off thatpossibility in your mind so come tochurch and if you see God at work insomebody else's life tell them becausethey may be blind to it for themselvesand it may help change their ownexperience with God they may be moreopen to God rather than having a closedheart when they come tochurch Faith truly is the Assurance ofthings hoped for the conviction ofThings Not Seen Hebrews 11:1 we wantanswers today quickly instantlyyesterday if possible yet we are invitedto be still and know that I am God inthe end of Psalm 46 and: 10 because whenwe wait upon God in submission we openup avenues for him to work in ways thatwe have never experienced before and Ican tell you stories today but our timeis pressing I won't tell you but I'dsimply say this in the mission fieldbecause everything in the mission fieldis a challenge and it's a war betweenChrist and Satan when there is a problemif you jump to the human solution you'reoften often making the problem worseoften times the best solution is to waitand pray and fast and say God this iswhat we see as the solution but you havean infinite variety of solutions we'regoing to wait and pray and fast so thatyou'll be glorified and you'll worksomething out for your glory that'sbeyond ourexpectations so if you are facing atragedy or a difficult Choice um or uman unfortunate event in life don't justjump to the obvious humansolution wait and pray about it fastabout it why do fasting and prayer gotogether well if you spend two hours aday on food prep and eating and feelingdrowsy afterwards and washing the dishesif you don't eat for the day you've gottwo hours suddenly created for prayerout of a busy schedule you know I wolfood my my wolf my food down in like 30seconds my wife told me before I camehere whenever you go and eat in people'shouses watch the pace at that whichthey're eating you mustn't finish yourplate in one minute it doesn't lookgood and uh and and so I often don'tremember what I ate and she said did youlike it have to look at her plate toremind myself what was it I just ate youknow if it was you know an English plateof you know chips and fried fish withgold um Mushy Mushy be Peas on it andsalt and vinegar I'd remember that butthat's soul food I only get about onceevery five years uh but so again I'velost my place here oh yes praying andfasting if if you pray if you fast youcreate time for prayer if you fast youfeel weak what you're saying to God isum I'm submitting myself to you and umif there is Victory it's comes throughyour strength not through mine and toyou be theglory so if you're facing a decisionright now maybe about employment prayand fast about it and act as when theHoly Spirit prompts you and act in goodfaith and see what God does for you hemay open up for you you may see optionsa b and c before you and none of themare good and God may give you option D EorF so wait and see what God can do foryou and so we carry on with story hecomes into the room the crowd are notthere because they've closed themselvesoff to the possibility of Jesus workinga miracle therefore they're not going tobe allowed to see amiracle and Jesus he comes in the threeare with Him Peter James and John thechild's mother and the father they wentinto where the child was and in verse 41it says he took her by the hand and saidto her talum which means little girl getup and immediately the girl got up andbegan to walk about she was 12 years ofage and they were overcomewith amazement now Jesus doesn't callher by her name he doesn't say hadassaor Rebecca or Rachel orSarah he uses an extremely intimate termlike I would say to my daughterKiki he's using a term of extremetenderness andendearment he's letting gyus know that Ifeel the same way about your daughter asyou her Earthlyparent she's not only precious to gyusshe's precious to God and literallytalith means littlelamb little lamb this is the GoodShepherd the Good Shepherd who knows hissheep and when the Good Shepherd speakshis sheep will hear his voice and theywill answer his voice even beyond thegrave this is the Good Shepherd speakingwho lays down his life for the flock theothers out there who mock me they areHired Hands and bandits but I came togive life that you might have itabundantly little lamb this is the goodShepherd speaking please get up it's abeautiful image of Jesus Jesus calls hisSheep by name today and he leads themout missionaries in the field see thiswith their children with broken andabused bodies and snatched Innocents insome parts of the world they are stilllittle lambs to Jesus Christ ourchildren today who many of them gothrough incredible abuse and theyincredibly they have a lot of Brokennessare still little lamb to Jesus Christfor believing parents this passage isthe promise that one day you will seeyour little childagain that the Good Shepherd who couldraise this girl can raise your childit's natural to bury your parents butit's not natural to bury your childrenas a pastor I hate weddings and I lovefunerals it's kind of perverse becauseat a wedding sorry at a funeral nothingworse can go wrong but at a weddingeverything can go wrong and it generallydoes but Jesus comes to these weddingsthis funeral you you don't find Jesuscoming to funerals and leaving it stilla funeral throughout the gospels whenevery time Jesus comes to a funeral heturns it into acelebration this this text is thepromise of the Resurrection for the deadchildren of parents who have faith inJesus so what Jesus says to gyus do notbe afraid but Keep On Believing appliesto us today if you've lost a child KeepOn Believing that one day the GoodShepherd will say talum little lambarise and be restored to your Earthlyparents the spirit of Prophecy talksabout this sister white wrote to a ladywho had a miscarriage and a still birthasking whether she would see her childone day and this is what we read inChild Guidance 565 you inquire inregards to your little one being savedChrist's words are your answer sufferthe little children to come unto me andforbid them not for such is the kingdomof God remember the prophecy then shequotes from Jeremiah 31 thus sayith theLord a voice was heard in Ramalamentation and bitter weeping Rachelweeping for her children and refused tobe comforted thus saith the Lord refrainthy voice from weeping and thine eyesfrom tears for thy Work shall berewarded sayith the Lord and they shallcome again from the land of the enemyand there is hope in thine end saith theLord that thy children shall come againto thine own border This Promise isyours write sister white to a woman whosuffered a miscarriage you may becomforted and trust in the Lord for theLord has often instructed me that manylittle ones are to be laid away beforethe time of trouble we shall see ourchildren again we shall meet them andknow them in the Heavenly courts putyour trust in the Lord and Be not Afraidend of quote the gospel is truly goodnews and because I believe that lifebegins at conception and I hear fromladies who have gone through abortionsthey ask will I see my child again Ibelieve on the basis of this passage yesyouwill that there will be a time ofreunion with every child who perished inour world from conception onwards it's abeautifulpromise somebody asked me during thebreak they said you know why do somepeople see answers to prayer and otherpeople not see answers to prayer likethis I gave an illustration I have acousin uh she was a an actu in the cityof London did a doctorate in appliedstatistics and uh she wasn't married andher prayer for many years was that shewould find a husband and have afamily and then in her about the age of32 she was diagnosed with stomachcancer it was aggressive and it spreadthroughout her entire body and shepassed away shortlythereafter when she was dying she saidto her mom she says mom I prayed formany years for a husband and I prayedfor little children and I thank God nowthat God said no to me because I wouldbe dying and leaving those childrenwithout amother so I don't know why some someprayers don't seem to be answered asdramatically as Gus's but what I do knowis that God knows the end from thebeginning and he does not lead us exceptas we would otherwisewish and so we are asked by Jesus Inthis passage to even if you don'tunderstand to Keep On Believing becauseI have the authority to raise your lovedones from the graveagain so what do we conclude today andour time is up what does this sandwichmean gyrus comes to Jesus and thenthere's the story of the girl in themiddle you have the meat of the sandwichthe woman with the issue of blood wellunlike the woman gyus has a name socialstanding position and Status he's wellrespected she is merely known anddefined by her shame and by heruncleanliness she has no name She's InPerpetual lockdown Jesus a gyusapproaches Jesus from in front shetimidly from behind he can tell hiswhole story and win public sympathy shecan't say a word about it withoutreceiving public um appr probium andhatred but despite her gender hernamelessness her uncleanliness and hershame it is she who exemplifies truefaith not gyus in this story when Jesussaid to gyus do not be afraid Keep OnBelieving he was inviting gyus and us tomanifest the same Faith as did thatnameless woman that faith means todaychoosing to look in faith to Jesus notin fear Upon Our circumstances choosingto tr trust in Jesus despite all theevidence of the contrary it is a faiththat knows no limits no not even theraising a child from the dead so mycharge to you today is this never giveup on your children as did gyusphysically emotionally or spirituallyJesus doesn't he fought for that littlegirl beyond the grave and raised herfrom the dead learn about Jesus and liveyour faith in your daily life do notjust say I believe in Jesus but Ibelieve in Jesus I live my faith in mybusiness in my practice in my home Iwill express my faith in every decisionthat I make testify publicly to God'sgoodness in your life and thereby youwill open your life to the healing touchof Jesus do not allow the fear of yourcircumstances to you oroverwhelm you today but invite you todayto Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus and trustin him and discover that for him allthings are possible may God bless you asyou live for Jesus
