4. Pornography, for example, is a widespread “gateway sin” that enslaves many and opens doors to oppression. Recognizing the serious spiritual consequences of such sins should motivate us to seek God’s help and remove these strongholds.

5. Deliverance requires cooperation with God: prayer for freedom, confession of sin, forgiveness of others, and active repudiation of Satan’s works. Only by partnering with Jesus can we experience true victory.

6. The helmet of salvation protects our minds, the battleground where Satan seeks to blind and deceive. Renewing our minds daily through the Holy Spirit transforms us to think God’s thoughts.

7. The sword of the Spirit, the only offensive weapon, is the spoken word of God. Jesus modeled resisting Satan by quoting Scripture, and believers are called to do the same to overcome lies and temptation.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing love and protection. We acknowledge the reality of spiritual battles in our lives but rejoice in the victory we have through Jesus Christ.
